Fair point. I just feel like instagram influencers are not models. They don't go through the trials a HF model would go through it's completely different to how a HF model comes up. It's all about your followers and not what you have to offer as a model. Again, just an opinion ...

Not to be that person, but they still face trials, love. Just because they face different trials to 'HF' models doesn't invalidate their come up. It's literally always about being pretty, some people are a more marketable kind of pretty than others, hence, Instagram versus taking polas in the IMG offices. And anyway, save the incredibly famous like the Hadids and Kendall, and Hailey if Bieber's rock finally gets her in the door lmao, these girls are attending castings and going through the same shit as the 'HF' girls. This can be applied to literally any type of model- it’s definitely not specific to Instagram models. I’m not saying your stuggle with body image isn’t valid but the exact same thing can be said about HF models and seems like a strange point when debating the two.

The models can be discovered in different ways, maybe a girl with the attitude and face to be a model, they did not even think about dedicating themselves to it. And thanks to accounts like IG, they can open up to the opportunity to work as a model. I do not see anything wrong while these girls have not been called thanks to the dirty nepotism that exists in VS and/or do not really have an appearance that startles among the rest of the women. Bella H. At least I think she has looked good walking these two years and with surgeries or not, it is a bomb. Unlike Kendull, who still with all the retouching does not even seem attractive to me at all.

I feel like the "Nepo" type of models are out now. Faded. They have proven not to be as profitable as they look so now they are trying IG girls with a high following whether they are real or not but I also don't believe social media influencers are as profitable either...unless you are talking makeup but who knows.. Kendall is out. She closed her own door with both hands and a key. Then lit the door on fire. You can't even find the ashes at this point.

She clearly did not recognize that until she attended castings. You can blame her agency for not informing her and I understand that what she wrote probably should have been kept to herself, but don't discredit the high standard of modeling she has held herself to in the high fashion world.

If she was so unbothered she wouldn’t be wasting her time lamenting to VS fan accounts about how downhill VS had gone and spent an entire day making passive aggressive Instagram posts.
Edited to add on: She might be a decent model with good work behind her but that doesn’t excuse the fact she has a superiority complex and sense of entitlement that is frankly unappealing and unprofessional. This was her first year casting? And she’s throwing a fit that she didn’t make it, when there are models who have been rejected for years (including HF girls) who continue to preserve and try and she’s acting like she deserved the callback immediately.

Additionally, respecting someone's modelling work and calling them out for being a rude, career jeopardising idiot are not mutually exclusive, but is her career really worthy of respect if she's so willing to be so cruel to other models and disrespect their careers because they're more successful through other avenues like instagram and youtube?
Anyway. New topic to unite us all. I think most people would say Kendall is out, but what about Gigi and Bella?

Gigi and Bella have earned their stripes at this point. They lost weight, made themselves over, and work very hard on their craft. Not here and there like other models but they actually work.
Hailey is not walking, it would be "so obvious" as Sophia would say....when she referenced Kate Upton....that could have been a moment. She is no different from Marissa Miller persona wise. She is just not a model. Pretty girl and nice body but nepo doesn't work for everybody.
