Come on, that poster was overtly inspired by Dali, no doubt about that.
And saying that everything new is a rip-off of something old is an extreme statement. You can say that about anything - be it movies, books or music.
That poster is still cool, even if the idea was taken from an earlier work.

i was just 'overtly annoyed' when i wrote that
it is actually a very cool poster.. and an even better movie.. if you havent seen it, i suggest you do 
but i do actually believe that there really isnt anything completely original in Any media.... BUT
it is all in how something is executed which gives it originality.
