Upon the attack of France in 1940 by the Germans, Morgan left for the United States and Hollywood where she was contracted to RKO Pictures. Her vocation there demonstrated rather baffling, aside from Joan of Paris inverse Paul Henreid in 1942, increasingly high inverse Frank Sinatra in 1943. She was tried and firmly considered for the female lead in Casablanca yet RKO would not deliver her for how much cash that Warner Bros. advertised. Morgan took care of business for Warners in Passage to Marseille inverse Humphrey Bogart in 1944. Nothing major came her direction.
