I love the Naked and Famous! I might be seeing them with Foals and Freelance Whales in May. Strangely I only know N&F music, not the 2 bigger bands.

You don't listen to Foals Matt? I'd definitely recommend them. I saw them last Sunday but I'm not sure why the vocals were so soft compared to the other instruments. Damn you Triple J :persuazn: That aside, they still packed the main stage despite the wind and rain.

I heard Plan B was really good and it's always good listening to Paul Dempsey.

I heard Plan B was really good and it's always good listening to Paul Dempsey.

Yeah he was fantastic actually, and he had a really kickass beatboxer that warmed everybody up at the start.

I was more excited about most of the others I saw though.. Jim Jones Revue were pretty damn electrifying. I was pretty bummed to miss out on Lupe Fiasco, but Washington has me too far under her spell

LCD Soundsystem were so good too. I was so glad I got to see their last ever show in Australia

So how was Laneway overall? I heard Les Savy Fav turned in a pretty memorable performance

Laneway was good, but the weather was shit. The crowd was ok, but sometimes people would just stand and talk to each other, which doesn't make for very festivally atmosphere. I was actually at the Les Savy Fav gig near the middle front. See if you can spot me And yes, it was epic. I would highly recommend it! So much fun

I'm seeing Beach House next Thursday. A real intimate venue too! Gonna be great.

Yeah Warpaint's bassist is Jenny Lee Lindberg who is Shannyn Sossamon's sister. She used to be in the band too apparently.

^Awesome

I heard Shannyn used to be in the band, but I didn't know that was her sister

I can see that though now.. they look quite a bit alike
