I'm sure that your voice isn't that bad. I guess that there's really only one way to tell if it is a bad as you say . . .
'Colonial' accents are nice anyway so I'm sure that you can't go wrong. 
My voice deepness is similar to Francisco Lachowski's.

I did some voice acting today, and did this Witcher scene. This is my first and only read-through of the scene.
The scratchy voice is Geralt, the servant is the slave voice, and the deep one is me being Charles Dance
Grizzled voice is Geralt, gay voice is me as Yennefer. First and last time reading the scene.
