We were thrilled earlier this week when Forbes announced Gisele Bundchen and hubby Tom Brady as the Worlds Highest-Paid Celebrity Couple, but nothing could have prepared us for the excitement we felt when they ranked Gisele at #60 out of the 100 Most Powerful Woman in the World! Beating out major fashion names like Anna Wintour, Miuccia Prada, and Diane von Furstenburg, its clear that this supermodel has made a name for herself outside the fashion industry.

Gisele, who was also just named the Worlds first billionaire supermodel, has stretched beyond just modeling with her philanthropic endeavors and recent stint as a designer for the Brazilian flip-flop label Havaianas. And while we've always believed in the power of supermodels, we couldnt be happier that the rest of the world is catching on. Congratulations, Gisele!

'Ailing' Esprit looks for brand makeover with 'new face' Gisele Bundchen

Fashion store Esprit has named Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen as its new face in a desperate bid to reinstate its position in the global market.

The inclusion of the Brazilian hottie in the new autumn-winter campaign is being seen as a part of a multi-pronged strategy that has been devised to lift the profile of the ailing retailer.

The past decade saw the powerhouse brand of the '80s and '90s suffering a slump.

Head of retail and wholesale for Esprit in Australia, Sophia Hwang-Judiesch, admitted that Bundchen is a figure, who embodies the elegance, charisma and naturalness the brand was trying to represent.

"She's not a girl, she's a woman with the natural Californian spirit of the Esprit brand," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying. (ANI)

Giseles gowns to be auctioned

Fashions Night Out 2011 is almost here. This year, Gisele is heading to Brazil for the launching of the event that helps to promote the fashion industry in the models home country. At last years event, Gisele took center stage in the opening and closing ceremonies. This year, she not only wore the FNOs t-shirt but also will be auctioning off eight dresses she wore in the editorial in Vogue Brazil photographed by the renowned Patrick Dermachelier. The dresses, exclusively made for her, show super glamorous looks inspired by the pioneers of Brazilian fashion scene.

The auction will be valid worldwide, from September 12th to 18th, through the website Sold. The proceeds will be used to support environmental causes that our Goodwill Ambassador believes in. How about purchasing one of her dresses and helping a good cause?

The Brazilian edition of the Fashions Night Out will take place on September 12th and 13th in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, respectively. Stay tuned on Giseles social media channels to learn more about it!
