2021 SI Swimsuit

So it's a question I ask every single year and this year is no exception. What were your favorite pictures

I'm normally not a fan of Lais or Jo, but I loved their shoots the most.

Anybody agree me on this? How can they make very beautiful models into "not so beautiful " !!! How did they do this lol

Let's take Jo and Emily....from their previous swimsuits shoots/VS shoots......they were like OMG beauty...whereas in this year issue...they are only" kind of" good looking :(((((

I think SI started to go down when Leonardo Di Caprio started dating Camila Morrone. He’s never checked SI since then anymore, I guess.

I saw Maggie Rawlins, Christen Harper, Emily DiDonato, Kate Bock, Josephine Skriver, Camille Kostek, Lais Ribiero.

I'd replace everyone else for sure.

These 5 would be fantastic covers. I seriously love each and every swimsuit above and scenes which focus on models more.

Massively underwhelmed by this but oh wel... My favorite pictures

I think Danielle Herrington had the strongest shoot by far, the body is on point and I adore how she looks with the braids. The Sacramento shoot is overall the nicest, although Emily's look like it could have been from 2020. Christine is the only logical option to win the model search, shame she'll probably lose, if not her then Taylor is the only decent option but do we need another Kate Bock? Nope. ROTY should be Maggie for sure.

As for the cover, I think it should have been Lais or Josephine if they wanted a new girl and if they really wanted a singer, Tinashe was the best option based on pictures.

Despite having a couple of attractive ladies, this issue is a shitshow.  

Why does MJ think that "diversity" is just a code word for fat, ugly, eyesore?  Meg the Horse and the rest of the buffalo belong in the livery stable. 

Another thing that annoys me is how they put the fatties and uggos in the more skin/less coverage suits while they put the few hot girls in the ugly less skin/ maximum coverage outfits.

Now, because I don't want this post to be nothing but complaints, here are several suggestions to return to SI's former glory.

1.  Fire MJ and replace her with a red-blooded, heterosexual man.

2.  No more pot-bellied porkers.

3.  Ditch the shitty one pieces and diaperkinis.

4.  If you insist on "diversifying", take your time and pick only the best of the best.  Tinashe looks good, but I tefuse to believe that she's the only attractive black woman out there that could have been picked.  What about Mariama Diallo?

Shake things up a bit.  How about a Pro-Am shoot where you pair up past models with some of Hollywood's hottest?  Imagine a Danielle Herrington/Zendaya Coleman, Alexandra Daddario/ Christen Harper, Kate Upton/ Sydney Sweeney, Olivia Culpo/Victoria Justice, and Emily Ratajkowski/Nina Dobrev shoot.  THAT would get a lot of good attention.

5.  Bring back body paint on world class beauties.

6.  Remember that the SI is SUPPOSED to feature fantastically beautiful women, not women I can pick up at my local bar.

I love Christen Harper but I didn't think her shoot was particularly great.

In fact, I have seen random ass shoots she has done that had her shining 100x more.

I don't know who or what is to blame but models so very rarely do their best work for SISE nowadays.

I guess we primarily have to look at the photographers?

Question for you guys: what do you guys think was the last good issue? I'm not talking great, that has been a very long time, but good.

Meaning you at least liked some models and some shoots, instead of just a handful of pictures.

For me it was probably 2016.

i think 2017 years is good ...u have vita, rose bertram, nina, upton, kelly gale, lais, both hannah, hailey, barbara, and bo...and atheletes like genie and caroline....the casts were good i think

2015, so many of those shoots I loved: The Hannah's, Nina, Irina, Emily, Solveig, Sara, Gigi, Genevieve and Rose all had amazing shoots. The entire lineup was pretty solid even though of course I wasn't a fan of every single girl.

2016 was also good but the inclusion of Ashley and Ronda Rousey -to me- represents the beginning of the decline, although Hannah Ferguson's shoot was insanely good.

28 yikes..and no one is opening the 2022 issue thread yet..maybe is better if no one does

+1 . 16 was last best in my view too but it started to go down with Ashley.
