Ronaldo: City owners tried to lure me with pic of Bentley stuffed with cashCristiano Ronaldo claims he is being wooed by relatives of the super-rich owners of Man City.
The Portuguese striker has boasted that a family member of the club’s Arab owners had offered him a world record-breaking £350,000 a WEEK if he quit Real Madrid.
But he told a source that City would have to pay £150million to seal the deal – and £400,000 a week, adding: “That’s what they’d have to pay to get the world’s best player.”
The former Manchester United striker said he would also want to be made captain and get the No.7 shirt, currently worn by England international James Milner.
And he described the extraordinary lengths he says the Al Nahyan family were taking to lure him back to the English Premier League.
He claims to have been contacted by a member of the family via email in the last few weeks.
He says he was sent a photograph of piles of cash spread across the back seat of a Bentley.
And he claims to have received a gold-plated invite to the UAE, where Man City owner Sheikh Mansour, a ruling member of the Abu Dhabi royal family, has a home.
As well as a free stay in a luxury hotel, Ronaldo says he was promised a tour of the royal palace in Dubai.
He told a friend: “They said they’ll treat me like royalty if I join Man City because they want to win the league.
“They sent me a picture of a Bentley with 500,000 notes on the seat. It was louco [crazy].”
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “He joked with the friend about how, if they were serious, they should have included a naked woman sprawled over the money.”
Ronaldo, 26, a former world player of the year, quit Man Utd for Real in an £80million deal two years ago.
Despite scoring 51 goals for the Spanish club this season, they failed to win the La Liga title and he has fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho.
Man City have always officially denied attempts to poach Ronaldo, who says he would also insist on having a clause in the contract that he would remain the highest paid player at Man City – so his wages would go up if they made a bigger signing.
But the friend added: “Ronaldo is seriously tempted. He has been gloating that he wants to take the money, join City, score 50 goals in the Premier League and then leave.”
The striker lives in Madrid with model girlfriend Irina Shayk, 25, but still has a home near Manchester which he rents out to City’s Emmanuel Adebayor.
“He has fond memories of Manchester and still has good friends there,” said the friend.
If a move to Man City went ahead, Ronaldo would replace Carlos Tevez, who has expressed his willingness to leave Eastlands this summer.
The club finished third in the Premier League last month. City’s highest-paid player is Yaya Toure, who makes £220,000 a week. The league’s best-rewarded player is Man United’s Wayne Rooney, on £250,000 a week. Last night City insisted that no approach or offer had been made with their knowledge or authority.
Great. Lets move to City, have millions of dollars and prostitues. This is all he needs. I think that entire spain would hate him for it.
cris looks like he wants to be anywhere but there at the moment

However he had a joke. He said that money isn't importantly for him.
Cristiano Ronaldo son celebrates his 1st birthday and gets baptized
Cristiano Ronaldo son celebrates today (17-06-2011) his first birthday and got baptized in Alcochete, Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo Junior christening ceremony attracted many attentions from the media and besides CR7 family and Irina Shayk, celebrities such as José Mourinho, Nani, Yannick Djaló, Ricky Martin and Jorge Mendes are expected to be present.
Cristiano Ronaldo son turns 1 year old today and as a way to show how devoted CR7's family is to Christ, they decided to baptize the child on this special day. Irina Shayk and her sister Tatiana will be on the ceremony and obviously also in the after-party, proving once again that this relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo is not some random fluke. Irina Shayk is said to be very anxious about this day and will have another chance to socialize and relate with Cristiano Ronaldo family.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in Portugal since the beginning of the week and took the chance to show Lisbon to both Irina Shayk and her sister. The christening ceremony will happen in a Portuguese airbase in Lisbon, while the big party will take place in Cristiano Ronaldo's sister house.
CR7 already took the necessary measures to assure that there will be no problem related with the safety of his son and his guests. Ronaldo hired a private security company called "Falcon Securitae" and will count as well with the Portuguese police help, provided by GNR. There are expected 300 guests at Cristiano Ronaldo Junior baptism ceremony and after-party
Kátia Aveiro (CR7 sister) and Jorge Mendes (CR7 agent) will be the godmother and godfather of Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. but there are many other celebrities expected to appear at this special event. Cristiano Ronaldo close friends such as Manchester United player Nani, Sporting Lisbon's striker Yannick Djaló and his girlfriend Luciana Abreu, Portuguese pop singers Tony and Mikael Carreira or Ricky Martin, are just a few names of the national and international celebrities that should be participating in the christening ceremony and after party.
Cristiano Ronaldo and girlfriend Irina Shayk arrive at his sister Katia's home for the baptism ceremony of his son, Cristiano Jr.

However he had a joke. He said that money isn't importantly for him.
If money are not important than why he shows in nike commercials? He doesn't want to play for City, because he thinks he is to good to play in team that is not on top.

Cristiano Ronaldo was invited to visit Instanbul in Turkey this weekend, by Besiktas President, Yildirim Demioren, a good friend of Ronaldo. CR7 simply drove Turkish fans crazy, in what was an apotheosis reception, with the song "We are the Champions" from Queen, playing in the background.
Cristiano Ronaldo popularity around the World has definately no parallel among all the other sports top athletes. This weekend, Ronaldo payed a visit to Turkey and Instanbul, after having accepeted the invitation from his friend Yildirim Demoioren, president of Besiktas JK. However, this was just a courtesy visit, since Cristiano Ronaldo isn't planning to move and transfer to Besiktas in the next season. You can watch the video below:
Followed by his Russian girlfriend, Irina Shayk, Cristiano Ronaldo witnessed an impressive welcoming in the Istikal street, in Taksim, in the opening ceremony of a new shopping mall. Cristiano Ronaldo had already passed through a very big crowd of fans in Atarük's airport and could only reach his hotel in the center of the city by travelling in a helicopter!

Cristiano Ronaldo arrived to Instanbul surrounded by a strong security contingent and was "attacked" by hundreds of journalists, who were starved to get close photos and statements from the Portuguese superstar. There were also plans to make an autograph session, but due to security issues, it had to be cancelled. Therefore, and as an alternative, Cristiano Ronaldo showed up in one of the shopping mall's balcony, in order to wave to the fans in the crowd, but also to address some words to everyone.

Cristiano Ronaldo: "I'm here after being invited by Besiktas President, who is a good friend of mine and I'm very grateful for this reception, so thank you to everyone." The Turkish media and journalists were all insisting on doing the same question to Ronaldo. As everyone can imagine, they all wanted to know if Cristiano Ronaldo would be willing to play in Besiktas in a few years. CR7 gave a diplomatic answer and simply said: "I don't know, maybe...".

The madness continued on the streets, in what was an another example of how football is lived with passion in Turkey. Several stores had to close in one of the most busy streets of Instanbul, due to safety concerns. Even though Cristiano Ronaldo left the "door" open for a possible future transfer to Besiktas, most likely that won't happen in the coming years, so all Real Madrid fans have no reason to be worried about losing Ronaldo anytime soon.

Ronaldo vows to humble Barcelona
Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo has issued a statement of warning to Barcelona, asserting that his side will bring their arch-rivals "back down to earth".
Barcelona pipped Real in La Liga last season to claim their third successive league crown, and also eliminated Los Blancos in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals en-route to claiming their second European Cup in three years.
Real did however have something to shout about when they beat Barcelona 1-0 in the Copa del Rey final, thanks to an extra-time winner by Ronaldo.
Ahead of the new season, Ronaldo has laid down the gauntlet to Barca by promising to humble them.
"We will be a lot stronger in the new season and I am confident that we have what it takes to beat them," Ronaldo told Vatan.
"We will bring Barcelona back down to earth."
Real finished the domestic league season four points behind Barca, and were not helped by their failure to overcome their rivals in their head-to-head encounters.
Real were trashed 5-0 by Barca at the Nou Camp last November, before both sides played out a 1-1 stalemate at the Santiago Bernabeu in the seventh-last game of the season.
Ronaldo concedes his side have to beat Barcelona in these encounters if they are to edge ahead in the title race.
"In order to stop Barcelona, we'll have to beat them.
"We can only win the league title if we manage to defeat them."
Real have already reinforced their squad ahead of next season with a number of signings, none more high-profile than the arrival of Turkish playmaker Nuri Sahin from Borussia Dortmund.
Ronaldo admits he does not know too much about Sahin, but has vowed to take it upon himself to help his new team-mate settle at the club.
"I don't know too much about him. I've seen him play in the German league a few times.
"I will do whatever I can to make him feel at home, though.
"The important thing is that everybody does his utmost to make sure Real Madrid win trophies."
Ronaldo is coming off the back of a breathtaking season, having broken all Spanish goalscoring records after he netted 40 goals in La Liga.
Cristiano Ronaldo: "We'll be better than Barcelona next season"
While still on Turkey, Cristiano Ronaldo took the opportunity to grant a new interview to a Turkish media called "Vatan". The competition among journalists to get this exclusive interview was fierce and Ronaldo talked about his expectations for next season and how confident he is on Real Madrid being much stronger and able to beat Barcelona.
Thousands of Turkish fans received Cristiano Ronaldo in Instanbul in the last weekend and even though CR7 is used to get very warm receptions, he confessed he got a bit overwhelmed with what he witnessed in Turkey. Cristiano Ronaldo: "It was incredible, I had never seen such thing in my life. I can say now that I got speechless at the time"
Cristiano Ronaldo started by being asked about what he knows about Turkish football and the Turkish League. CR7: "I must confess that I usually don't follow much what happens in Turkish footbal. I know a bit about Besiktas, mostly because I have some friends in that club. Ricardo Quaresma, Hugo Almeida, Simão Sabrosa, or Manuel Fernandes are good friends of mine. They all tell me that Besiktas has really good and passionated fans. I also have a good friendship with Yildirim Demirören, Besiktas president, who is a really good and honest person."
Next season, Real Madrid will have three Turkish speaking players in the squad: Mesut Ozil (German), Nuri Sahin and Hamit Altintop. Cristiano Ronaldo they will help the team being more succesful: "Ozil had a great start with Real Madrid already. He adapted really well and he also came from German football. That's another reason to be confident about both Nuri Sahin and Altintop adaptation into Spanish football. I'm sure that language differences will be no obstacle for them to fit in, because here, at Real Madrid, we're all united towards winning and we're all excited with the team we're building to face the challenges coming ahead."
Talking about challenges made the expectable question popping out. What about Barcelona. Does Real Madrid have what it takes? Do the "Merengues" have enough weapons to beat their biggest rivals? Cristiano Ronaldo: "If we want to win the Spanish League (La Liga) we have to believe we can defeat Barcelona. They are good, I have no doubts on that, but I believe we are building a better team. I'm also confident next season we'll be stronger than Barcelona and we'll be able to beat them."
Then the journalist asked about Lionel Messi, and if he represents an additional motivation factor to keep improving. Cristiano Ronaldo: "I honestly don't care about what other players do or achieve. We have completely different styles and personalities. We should only worry about what happens at home (Real Madrid) and focus in our team. That's what I do at least."
Cristiano Ronaldo also approached a topic that newspapers and magazines love to gossip about. Nightlife and parties. However, CR7 assumes he has no bad habits and said he goes to bed early in the night every since he started competing at high level and he sleeps very well. Nights out only happen in Cristiano Ronaldo life when he's on vacations and he's the first to admit that, just to avoid misunderstandings from the media.
There was still time to ask Ronaldo if he would consider moving to Turkey and Besiktas in future. Cristiano Ronaldo: "No one knows the future, so we should never say never in life. This is a golden rule for everyone and I might consider an offer in a few years.
Cristiano Ronaldo still had time to admit he's very happy with the relationship with his girlfriend, Irina Shayk. CR7 said that a happy player always performs better and he doesn't think there's a big difference in being married or just dating. Before ending the interview, Cristiano Ronaldo had a statement that will probably brake many hearts all around the World, after confessing: "I'm very in love with Irina Shayk!" Will we be hearing wedding bells any time soon for Ronaldo and Irina?
