"We all think we can win the League"

José Antonio Reyes talked about the upcoming match against Athletic Bilbao and several other issues. The player is happy at Real Madrid and believes the team can win the League.

What do you think about Saviola possibly joining the team next season?

I think it would be good. We all know Saviola. He is a goal scorer and I think that, if the rumours are true, the Club has done well in signing him.

Do you know if you will stay for sure next season?

We still haven't talked to the Club. I'm still waiting to hear from them.

Would you return to Sevilla if they asked you to come back?

I don't know. I would like to return some day, but many things would have to happen first. We'll see what happens at the end of the season. I only think about Real Madrid right now.

Have you thought about the possibility of returning to Arsenal?

I wouldn't like to return to London. I hope to join a Spanish Club if I don't stay here. It's not that it was unpleasant for me to play for Arsenal; I'm simply used to a different climate. Ask Baptista how he feels there.

What do you think about Baptista asking to return to Real Madrid?

I think a player should express himself if he isn't happy. It's better for him and for the Club.

Has the squad talked more about Athletic Bilbao or Barcelona this week?

We don't talk about Barcelona. We only talk about our direct opponents. We can't think about Barcelona because we won't achieve anything if they win every game and we don't. I hope they drop points, but we don't really think about their games.

Are you motivated to play the next game?

I get more motivated as the week unfolds. Tomorrow we will talk more about the game and get more motivated.

Athletic Bilbao are fighting to distance themselves from the relegation zone. Does this game come at a good time for Real Madrid?

You never know. The only important thing right now for us is that we are in good physical and psychological form. We don't really care the situation out opponents are in. We only care about the state we are in and about what we have to do to take the three points.

On a personal level, is every game for you like a final because you feel you have to prove something?

Every game is a final for me not because I may leave the Club, but because I want the team to win.

Some of your teammates think you will win the League. Do you?

We all think we can win the League. It's important to have that mentality.

Are you in better shape than Barcelona?

They are the leaders, so we can't really say we are. We feel well and we have been playing good football and winning games lately.

Have we seen the real Reyes this season?

Not really. The injuries I've had have forced me to restrain myself.

In an interview published yesterday, Ronaldo said his relationship with Capello was bad...

It wasn't that bad. They probably didn't talk as much as they should, but I never saw any conflict between them.

How's your relationship with him?

It's good, like with everyone else.

An article linking Cesc to Real Madrid again was recently published. Do you think there is a chance for him to come?

I don't know, I think you should ask him. He is happy in England and they are very fond of him at Arsenal. I can't tell you if he wants to return to Spain or not.

Would you stay if Schuster took over as coach?

I don't know. We still don't know if Capello will continue or if Schuster will take over. We have to think about those of us who are here and forget about possible signings. We should talk about these things after the League is over.
