Don't agree Stromboli, Trump is a reflection of the 1980s, which looked fondly at the economic stability, plentiful jobs, and slow paced, peaceful life of the 1950s. There was a lot less ethnic diversity and also when the US was a dramatically disproportionate portion of the global economy as well. People went outdoors a lot and actually produced tangible things instead of staring into screens. The US military and war economy provided a lot of stability in employment- it was 20% of the economy while it is literally 3% or so today.
