Pretty good! Definitely better than what Bethesda gave us!

The Internet is full of talented people.

This game looks NEXT GEN!! This Japanese company made their own engine focused on photorealism.

@Enrico_sw  I finished book 5 and encountered the Queen Meve character from the spin-off game, thronebreaker.  You played this haven't you?

I just realized that they made TV show Queen C into Queen Maeve-like character lol!

Now I'm doing Tower of the Swallows (6) which has the story on how Ciri got her scar.

I wanted to play it, but I didn't have enough time this summer (I was very busy getting outside in real life and I loved it! Too much lockdown is bad for your health).

Meve is a beautiful character and I love the soundtrack of this game.

What's "Queen C"?

I've been reading the Witcher comics and found the 3 best ones.  They could have been great DLCs for the game.  Really enjoyed the story and the artwork.

Witcher: House of Glass.  This one is a horror story, like "Hearts of Stone".

Witcher: Curse of Crows.  Takes place after the Witcher 3, Ciri and Geralt go out to practice Witchery.

Witcher: Reasons of State.  This is inserted in the middle of the book chronology, a detective- intrigue tale

Queen calanthe, Ciri's grandmother (in the books).  They turned her in a warrior queen like Maeve.  Maeve is a Joan of Arc type character, I remember that the supermodel/actress Milla Jovovich played Joan in 1999.

Just found this. Weird casting, this actress is a girl:

This Witcher comic takes place after Witcher 2:

Finishing up book 6, the Tower of the Swallow.  Very engaging,  Ciri-focused book, and about Ciri as a teenager (age 16).   Her journey is an Arya Stark-type, this must be a fantasy trope of sorts.

This book is the prequel to the Ciri storyline in the Witcher 3, and is the first real look at an older Ciri.   The Ciri I know from the game is starting to really manifest here.  They borrowed some aspects of the story and repeated them in the game, but in a different form.

I don't understand why Cyberpunk isn't nominated for the GOTY awards. Sure, there has been many mistakes. Sure, they lied about the old gen versions. Sure, they made promises they didn't keep. But all in all, the game is pretty good (on PC at least) and better than many of the games this year. I mean we are not in 2018 (which was a great year for video games).

GOTY should be about game quality and honest reviews, but as many things today it's heavily influenced by some sort of ambient atmosphere created by some weird "how am I gonna be perceived" questionings...

GOTY 2020 was already a big joke (with the victory of TLOU2: one of the most mediocre games in recent years).

Ah yes. I love Jeanne d'Arc, she's a great heroine.

Meve's artwork in Thronebreaker is beautiful. There are lots of pretty decent cosplays of her too. I have a feeling netflix is going to screw this one up too (just like they butchered Cowboy Bebop)

I agree, the game is innovative despite the bugs and the aggressively misleading advertising.  If it didn't have bugs or mislead fans it would definitely be GOTY material.

I have no hope because of Neflix for Season 2/3, I'm just going to take it as it is and watch out of curiosity.

I'm a fan of Lucy Lawless' look to the point where I want all woman warrior roles to be like this. Big framed, muscular, Tall, but still feminine and beautiful. Also, in high fantasy art this was pretty standard at the time (1980s-1990s).  I've been looking at the Art of Gwent and there are a lot of good art of characters from the books/games :

This fan literally drew Meve as Xena:

Touissant, Queen Henneritta, Knights Errant, and Avalac, Elven Sage finally appear in the second half of book 6, Tower of the Swallow.  I have 26 hours left

Halo Infinite looks really outdated and kind of bad.  The rumor is that it cost Microsoft $500 million dollars.

It looks too much like the original Halo in gameplay and "art" lol..

Yeah, the original one had very good graphics and very fluid motion.  This one, too.  Aloy looks rather like a ninja with those pants and equipment.

Henry Cavilli has been commuting via social media about his desire to improve on his version of Geralt.  There has been a couple posts recently, including these.  Cockle is the voice actor who did game Geralt:

Cockle has a great voice. It's a huge part of the Witcher 3's success. He makes Geralt a calm, assertive and confident character.
