Honestly I never got into turn-based games.  I love RTS though.

I tried playing Commandos 2 as a kid many times but just couldn't get into it.

I have the same issue with Magic Cards.  I love the Witcher 3 more than any other game but I haven't bothered to learn how to play Gwent yet lol.

Yeah it's a genre you either like or don't. I have been a fan of it since the original Commandos.

It seems like a genre that was once mainstream but it turned more niche since the 1990s-early 2000s.

RTS is like that, even though Starcraft 2 was great there has been no plans to make Starcraft 3.

Yeah it's now all FPS or FPS-adjacent.

Which is unfortunate if you are less and less interested in that genre (like me).

It's crazy to consider but the original Commandos was a real game changer and - this will be very hard for people to understand from a 2023 perspective - it required a very decent rig to even be able to play it properly on your PC.

I think the biggest failure of FPS is lack of improvement in enemy AI.  So there is almost no tactics and coordination involved.

If the tactics of Commandos or squad & platoon was possible in FPS it would be revolutionary.  Instead the AI hasn't advanced much since Call of Duty 1 & Half Life:Opposing force.

The Men at War series is a RTS with extreme micro-management possibilities.  But the AI is terrible and the gameplay is very clunky.

What do you guys think of this girl?  She did the motion capture for RE4

Not my type. She's too young and enthused all the time.

In terms of half Japanese / half Western girls, I prefer Tifa:

I heard good feedbacks but haven't seen a lot of gameplay yet. They say it's better than the previous one, but I want to check for myself.

@Stromboli1 have you tried it yet?

I played for 5 minutes and looks good although the game was released broken and unplayable on PC.

I think she's very cute but the persona she adopts is an act to make money.  She is popular on youtube and makes Yen from Japanese men who have a fetish for cute white women that speak Japanese.

game has high production values from what I've seen.  When I have time I want to review this game, along with Atomic Heart, Horizon,  and Re4 remake.

hahaha, awesome work:

Ashley's outfit and persona seems to be influenced a bit by Clarice Staring in Silence of the Lambs.

I watched a lot of the key moments of the story in Star Wars Jedi Survivor.

The game story is blatantly better than the films lol.  The action stuff is great.  The game has high production values.

Combat Gameplay is a lot more simple than Sekiro and nowhere near the same level but it's good enough for fans of star wars.

God of War Ragnarok Reportedly Cost $200 Million to Make (glitched.online)

Not a good sign for gamers if a run of the mill AAA game costs this much.

These are the guys that started ID Software and created DOOM, Quake, Commander Keen, Hexen, Wolfenstein etc back in the day.   A bunch of geniuses.
