The vast majority of her fans have an elevated to the absolute parasocial relationship with her. As someone pointed out, it looks like a cult. And Taylor makes a huge profit from these parasocial relationships.

Even though her success story is admirable (she really went through a lot of shit before she got to where she is now), I condemn her for the level of toxicity of her fanbase. I know that no one can completely control the fans, but I think she has a share of the responsibility.
