Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. What are your plans? Do you have a special Valentine?

My boyfriend and I are going out to dinner this Friday ( the Friday before V-Day ) to Olive Garden ( my favorite ) and then we are going to see "Hitch" because we both think it looks like a cute V-Day movie. He said he's going shopping tomorrow, but he won't tell me what for .. so that obviously means it's for me ( he'd tell me otherwise ). I have no idea what to expect.

I refuse to acknowledge it's existence, though I am doing something, but not because it's Valentine's. A friend of mine is having an art exhibition and I'm going so she's not standing in the corner chewing her nails off

Lol, I just don't think you should wait one day a year to tell someone you love them and do something special for them. Shouldn't that be something you tell them every day? And doing something special for someone should be a surprise, not because "Oh it's Valentines' Day I have to do something"

I understand what you mean, Avada and I totally agree. I like my boyfriend to do sweet things for me at random, and he does, but I'm such a romantic that I can't imagine not doing something for V-Day.

Last night, he wanted to give me my V-Day gift early, partly because we probably won't see each other until right before dinner on Friday. So, he gave me my present and he bought me Ralph Lauren perfume called "Lauren Style" that I went ga-ga over in the mall a few weeks ago. I adore it.

See, what I don't understand is how a blood thirsty crazy person, St. Valentine came to be the patron saint of this holiday.

And monday he starts his advance knife course thingy, which essentially consists of him playing rambo for a month against some 20 other marines. Lol, boys...

Oh yeah, and I have a class that doesn't get out till almost 10pm.

I'm supposed to be getting a pressie though...so I guess that counts for something
