Kate Middleton and Prince William were seen heading home with their day-old son. Looking every bit the proud new parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen departing St. Mary’s Hospital in London, England on Tuesday (July 23).

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their son George Alexander Louis.

 

The third in line to the throne will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.

George had been the bookies' favourite for the prince's first name, and there have been six British monarchs that used the name.

Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George without painkillers

Kate Middleton went through 11 hours of labor without any painkillers.

With Prince William at her side, the Duchess of Cambridge was surrounded by a team of four midwives as their future king made his way into the world.

Middleton apparently insisted on keeping the birth of Prince George Alexander completely natural.

Other details about the birth have remained hush-hush as Middleton's aides have been sworn to secrecy.
