it's not a rule. It happens, without really looking at the age.

Not a bad idea.

but it sounds like a pattern, and those things tend to not happen randomly.

I agree. Before I knew this crush of mine, I didn't know his age.

but you knew he was in a different age bracket. teacher/student works out like that.

well I didn't know at all age of this guy I'm having crush on. He could have been 27 or 20 or 45 - just coincidence he happened to be /quite/ older than me.

I do.

The thing is - if I'm ok with this and he is - everything should be fine.

There are many other problems that can be considered as serious as the age gap, for example religion/rase/culture/whatever/.

yes, but this isn't a thread about those things

and just to play devil's advocate, you can convert to another religion, you can move into a new culture... I don't know about the race thing, that's more about preconceptions than skin color or something

some people are not willing to change religion, and this may be bigger problem, roots/ethnic/culture can be also a thing not easy to fight, if ever, and race cannot really be changed, and yes, I mean the perception of skin colors, etc.

Well, yeah. But I didn't care. I was just attracted to him by his looks (at first)... then when he started talking, I loved his personailty as well. He's perfect.

A perfect person is just a person whose flaws are not yet exposed/obvious.

no, a perfect person is the kind of person where you don't mind my flaws.

I mean 'their flaws.'
