Do guys really like tall girls?

I was aware of Vanessa Paradis long before I discovered Johnny Depp.

I knew Depp as that guy from 21 Jump Street, mostly.

Anyways, I would disagree with you that girls who are 5'9 or taller are rare. They aren't rare here, certainly not in my age category (or younger).

Not that I'm saying that they all look like models, but a guy who wants a tall girl would have little trouble finding one here.

Exactly, Sympathy. Tall women are not rare THERE. The average height for a woman in Belgium is 5'6. Only women in Denmark, the Netherlands, and the Dinaric Alps have a average higher than that, so taller women are more plentiful in your country. Plus Belgium is mostly a homogenous country, right. In the U.S. the women average 5'4, and that is for all Americans. You can see what city I live, and you know there is a large Mexican American population. Those women average at 5'2. There are also U.S, cities that have large Asian populations. The tallest women come from mainland China, and their average height is 5'3.

So there you have it. In some countries and it easier to find a taller women than it is a shorter one. My country, and my city is more diverse than yours, plus the majority of the people in those type of cities immigrated from places where the women were shorter, so that's why shorter women here are more plentiful here and taller women are more rare.

I think, in the reality, they prefer short girls. Thy like models in magazines, internet, etc, but in person, the tall girls intimitates a lot of men.

I like tall & short women.

I forgot to mention this in my previous post.

From my own experience and other friends that I've talked to that dated both short & tall girls found that tall girls were way more sexually active than short girls. Remember that this is just a small sample size.

I actually like smart girls. I need someone whom I can have a conversation with on my level.

No matter how beautiful a dumb woman is... they'll make me want to hang myself after a while. Dumb women are not for me.

I am not confusing dumb with goofy either.
