I'm okay, but it's something I'll have to live with for the time being. I have a medium-sized cyst on my right ovary that is causing me pain. So I pretty much just have to live with the pain during the day because simple over the counter pain medications don't work and I can't take more than one 600mg Ibuprofen in a sitting and that doesn't get rid of all the pain. I have Vicodin for evenings and weekends when I need to sleep or when the pain is really bad.

I basically have to wait and see if the cyst goes away in a few months and if it doesn't then I have to go back to the doctor to discuss other options. The last thing they want to do is remove the ovary of an unmarried woman with no children, but if the pain becomes so troublesome that I can't work or do other activities, then it'll have to be removed. But we're hoping it'll go away on it's own after two months.

Cysts can occur, it's not uncommon. Most of the time they dissolve on their own. If they rupture, it can be quite painful.

Children are still possible. If I lose this ovary, I still have one more left, it just means I only ovulate every other month versus every month, which can make it more difficult to get pregnant.

No reactions to the medications so far. The pain has subsided quite a bit, so I haven't been taking much yet.

I don't have to avoid eating anything, but obviously a good diet and lots of water is always a good thing.
