Even in spite of some of the criticism fired off in her direction, “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus is still hoping to

inspire young kids both with her TV show and her actions in real life.

In a new interview, Miley claims that playing her famous Disney Channel character has been helpful for her to

maintain a role model status:

“So I think it has made the transition easier, because I never said I was going to be perfect. I never really put on a

persona. I’ve always been really honest about who I am.

“And yes, I want to be a role model and have people look up to me. But this also doesn’t mean that I am not going to

live the way I want to live, or do what I think is right.”

Many parents have proclaimed that Miley is exactly the “opposite” of a good role model, beginning with a controversial

Vanity Fair photo shoot and most recently continuing with her new album “Can’t Be Tamed” (and its music video).

„California Gurl“ Katy Perry (25), die gerade die Werbetrommel für ihr neues Album „Teenage Dream“ rührt

(erscheint am 27. August 2010), schießt scharf gegen „Hannah Montana“-Star Miley Cyrus (17).

„Ich habe das nicht nötig, rauszugehen, was Krasses zu machen wie etwa Miley Cyrus – einen auf ,Hey, guckt mal Leute,

ich bin jetzt total verrückt und heiß' zu machen“, sagte die Sängerin in einem Interview mit der Zeitung „Welt Kompakt“.

Schon letztes Jahr hatte Katy gegen ihre britische Kollegin Lily Allen (25) gezickt, sie nannte sie in aller Öffentlichkeit

„fett“. Daraufhin wollte Allen die private Telefonnummer von Perry veröffentlichen.

Jetzt liegt Perry also im Clinch der acht Jahre jüngeren Cyrus.

Vielleicht liegt der Grund für Katy Perrys Abneigung gegen den Teenie-Star darin, dass Perry früher ihre Backgroundsängerin war?

LOL Officially in Production (August 05, 2010)

Ready to be drowned in teenage comedy stereotypes? I hope so because according to Coming Soon,

LOL has officially gone into production. Just a month ago we got a taste of what's to come when we

first heard that Twilight's Ashley Greene joined the cast. Major adolescent draw. Also on board?

The teen queen herself, Miley Cyrus. Even with Demi Moore's name on the roster it's still quite tempting

to dismiss this one off as a formulaic high school drama. The official synopsis doesn't help, but the new additions to the cast might.

In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes and Facebook, Lola (Cyrus) and her friends navigate the peer

pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused

parents. When Lola's mom, Anne (Moore), "accidentally" reads her teenage daughter's racy journal, she

realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between

mother and daughter, "LOL" is an authentic coming-of-age story for the way we live now.

Lola's high school inner-circle includes Kyle (Booth) - Lola's BFF, whom she realizes is her love interest;

Lola's two best friends Janice (Esco) and Emily (Hinshaw); Max (Sevani) - a nerd that Emily secretly hooks

up with; Lola's ex-boyfriend and Kyle's best friend Chad (Finn); Lloyd (Watson) who is part of their crew;

and Ashley (Greene) - the sexy girl who has set her sights on Kyle, much to Lola's dismay. Thomas Jane

plays Alan, Anne's ex-husband and Lola's father. Jay Hernandez plays James, a dangerously cute,

good-natured cop dating Anne who is able to offer a little perspective on her teenage daughter.

Austin Nichols plays Mr. Ross, the heartthrob math teacher, who all the girls have a crush on.

Marlo Thomas plays Gran, Anne's sophisticated mother whose relaxed demeanor allows her to be the

easy-going bystander when it comes to watching Anne raising children of her own. Gina Gershon and
