It's time for another season.
But wait, there's a difference this year. You might know the Penguins won the cup last year. Did you know Pittsburgh won the cup last year? Pittsburgh will be defending their championship this year, did you know that? So far that's ALL I HEAR and it's driving me nuts:
1. Crosby is not the "next one" he's just a big baby, that when things don't go his way he whines and complains.
2. Last year's Stanley cup reffing was a joke. Espically Joanette, he cost the Red Wings another cup.
3. We all know Pittsburgh won, now shut up about it.
4. Bettman is a complete and utter idiot, who doesn't know how to properly run this league.
5. Get rid of the shootout, it's the only thing that puts me to sleep quicker then watching the Canucks.

That second period was amazing. Varlamov really needs to work on his glove hand though 
I think he could be a top notch goalie once he fixes that up

It's too bad about Markov for the Habs. I'm hoping Price can step it up, looks like it so far. If not Halak is a very good goaltender, i think he could be a starter down the road.

I have been worried and still am about Price, his confidence and technique were scary (bad scary) last season. If Price shows that he is the real deal I doubt Halak will stay in Montreal too long.
Markov will be missed. I hope Weber, Bergeron and others can step up.
