^She'll probably have more than one outfit. Bar did their F/W show.

^ Yup, Bar had three -horrible- outfits on the F/W show.  And she also did a Press Conference and a Photocall for the the brand before the show. She also did a couple of magazines and newspapers in Spain to promote the brand so I hope Adriana does it too.

Also shooting another Vogue Spain cover wouldn't kill Adriana but that's just me being too hopeful

Dear Adriana, don't start doing random and tacky stuff like Miranda and Alessandra do.

I could excuse her for the things she does at Turkey because she's a full time celeb there but what is this show she's about to do? And the fact that it was Bar who did it last year isn't helping.

Anywho, on the plus side, we get to see more picture of her.

^This is not tacky (just their clothes are). I would be the first one to say it was, but it's not. If you look up past shows and even the last show with Bar you can see that it's legit (their show productions are a lot better than some) and there are some other known models who walk too. And Desigual actually has stores in the US, so that's why I am okay with it. Also, Jon K. is from Spain, so he walks in like every show. They said it was last minute, so they must be paying her good. It's Barcelona Fashion Week. It's not like some random show. There are several shows going on today and for the next couple of days.

This is far far from random. Desigual is a huge spanish brand that sells all ove the world, it's a legit show in BFW and it's also one of the biggest shows during the whole spanish fashion week. That being said, their clothes are just not my (or Sav's) cup of tea but they're still a huge brand and their campaigns and showa always have big names, even if Bar is not your cup of tea she never does random brands either and she's pretty selective with what she does outside Israel.

Just because you're not familiar with a brand doesn't make it random. Same happened with Wagon, everyone jumped in to say it was random when it's actually a pretty big brand. Also remember that her VS contract limits her work in the US a lot which is why we always see her doing stuff in Europe (Dossi Dossi, Wagon and now Desigual) and never doing stuff like H&M, Tommy or brands that host their shows in the US

Sure.

Also. I never said I was unfamiliar with the brand as I know they have boutiques in the UK.

Thanks for educating me though. I didn't even know it was fashion week in Spain neither did I know their show is kind of a big deal

What? She's the only (or one of) big name supermodel they have right now.

At least she's gonna be their star now, as said before.

That depends on Adriana. If she decides to stay sitting on her ass then the agency won't push her just to keep her happy because she is their only 'star'. And she'll continue to get only the jobs for companies where she is close to someone i.e Miucca & Miu Miu/Prada. So basically I'm not expecting Adriana's career to get better thanks to The Society. It's not like Adriana has been trying to put her name out ther, has she?

However IMG as well as Women have so many big names that those are the go-to agencies for most of companies/magazines when booking because they know the agencies have the best of the best. And there's also the fact that IMG has offices in all the major cities which makes things even easier when it comes down to castings,

I actually think she has done quit a bit the past few months! Especially considering we were getting nothing. Yeah its not as much as say Candice or Karlie or Joan, but she is doing stuff. I wouldn't say she is sitting on her ass anymore

I'm curious though what we will see when VS starts picking up around fall/winter. We've got VSFS, FB and all of the holiday things still to come. I'm curious if she will play a major role as she always does if if she will still just be doing the smaller things like Clothes and VSX?

I think it'll be different here because since the board is so small and all their girls are actually working a lot and getting good campaigns, movies (Tao), and walking a lot if shows that she won't be able to just sit on her ass there. At IMG, it probably would've been easier for her to. And The Society isn't just some new agency. It is basically Marilyn with a different name. It's mostly the same people and I won't be surprised if people from IMG jump ship there to be with The Society in the next couple of months. It's a pattern if you pay attention to that tFS thread.

Well since she is so limited in the US due to her VS contract, I hope she goes to a big good agency in Europe. Mostly because fashion week is done through European agencies and most of the big designers are there too so for the campaigns, so I hope that whenever she goes in Europe they push her and make her more work over there.

Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima has left longtime agency Marilyn and jumped to Society Management, an arm of the internationally known Elite World. Her agent, Chris Gay, was a top booker at Marilyn for more than a decade, but left recently to become general manager of the year-old Society Management and executive director of North American operations of Elite World Group. Brazilian beauty Lima has starred in ad campaigns for Miu Miu, Maybelline and Kia Motors. Last week, she walked in a show for Desigual during Barcelona fashion week. Society Management’s roster of beauties includes Irina Lazareanu and Lindsey Wixson.

I hope she joins another agency. Never understood why she stuck to only one agency at a time.

Here's a link to the article. Seems like Chris also is the executive director at Elite? http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/model_moves_on_0zk4xEYdIlFkBnmbyjOFkP?utm_medium=rss&utm_content=%20%20%20%20%20%20Page%20Six

Look at the list of agencies: http://models.com/models/Adriana-Lima

So can we now say it's 100% sure she is with Elite Paris?

Someone said this on the tFS thread and I still don't understand but:

Society is the New York branch of Elite World. Elite NY (and the other North American locations - LA, Toronto, etc.) have no business connection to Elite World (Paris, Milan, London, etc). So when they say he is the North American operations exec director of Elite World, the only actual agency that is directly a part of that network is Society.

(Maybe someone can correct me but I think Society is the only Elite World division on this side of the pond)

She's not on the Elite Paris website just yet but I think it's a matter of time now that we got the info about Chris.

Elite doesn't have awfully big models on their rooster, however they started representing Irina Shayk recently and she's been working a lot. They also have Anne V and that girl works non-stop. But I don't know if it is thanks to Elite or thanks to their agent Ali
