It's a risk I agree but people do more risky/stupid things for love every day.
For me it's the contradiction of Dannys body: beautiful and seductive (with all his scars) from the outside but deathly (literally) from the inside not only just for himself but also the woman he loves. It's the ultimate dilemma/tragecy.

Arrival (2016)
One of my favorite Mel Gibson movies. Great cast and a great study about kidnapping (despite from the very bloody Hollywood ending).
Fun lighted, romantic movies. Those are movies I can watch again and again just to feel good
Loved it.
And loved Tom Blyth as young Coriolanus Snow. What a divine evil creature 😍
Usually I'm not a big fan of such old movies but since this one inspired parts of Killers of the Flower Moon I watched it for curiousity and surprisingly... I LIKED IT 
Montgomery Clift was gorgeous.
One of my favorite movies. Not even Franco can ruin it. Beautiful soundtrack.
Not the best movie ever made but I kinda like it. Watched it multiple time, still gettin upset with the ending 😭
