I didn't last long with the MCU- I watched Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Winter Soldier, and the Avengers. Didn't like Thor and the Avengers at all, the rest were OK. Like the comics the MCU films are made to please everyone and lack extremist characteristics. I am a Nolan TDK fan.

I like the trilogy but it's not less mainstream as marvel or anything DC made after Nolans Batman imo.

I think the Nolan films were borderline rated R-
My favorite Marvel film is Blade I & II

borderline R- meaning PG-13 but almost rated R. all three are very violent but managed to circumvent the R status.

Not a fan of Johnny Depp at all but this movie was much better than I remembered. I actually remembered almost nothing LOL
Eddie Redmayne is so adorable
I can't believe I forgot Callum Turner IS PLAYING HIS OLDER BROTHER 😮 @Lilja K

Finally. Can't believe this story still isn't finished. And probably never will.

Didn't had high expectations and so I liked it a lot better than the bad reviews lol

Me too lol

Had to re watch @Lilja K
I think for a movie from 2001 the special effects looked really decent (mostly the robot stuff just awesome made 💯).
I also think Haley Joel Osment was a hell of a child actor what a performance I mean he's carrying practically the whole movie with his little face full of raw emotions.
My secret hero
Otherwise it's a very typical Spielberg movie imo with topics of childhood, the mother/son relationship, sci fi setting, fuckin Aliens 👽 etc lol
I agree @Anasxs a few minutes less wouldn't have harmed the pace of the story but I liked the message overall (mindblowing how pretty much accurate it is till today),the cast did really great and I was really touched by the ending 💘
also the whole atmosphere/setting/aesthetic was breathtaking 😮
so beautiful
Jude Law is once again GORGEOUS
@Cult Icon had to think about you here lol
easily 7/10 🍿

I haven't seen A.I in 15 years but I remember rating it approx. 8 out of 10- pretty good.
The other underrated Spielburg Sci-fi flick is "Minority Report". It is very good and I saw it a few times back then. I rated it 9 out of 10. It is much better than the sci- fi flicks in recent years.

Very good acting, especially by Tom Cruise and very good writing & camerawork. A lot of tension throughout, and the film draws you in. I wish there were more movies like this being made today.

This movie has a monstrous cast
Bonus: soft Boyd 🥰
I was shocked how much I liked it because I never heard about it before 😮😆 have you watched it? @Lilja K

Yes, I've seen. Liked overall, but didn't like the ending

Really? I knew some bummer would come in the end but I didn't expect this one AT ALL. I like it when movies can still surprise me.

From this point of view, the ending is good. But not when you sympathize with certain characters...

True 😄

the spoiler free review like promised @Lilja K
-if you didn't like Sons of Anarchy you have zero business to watch this movie lol
-this movie is practically the perfect origin story for Samcro and everything Jax father told about "the good ol' days" of biker clubs in his journals
- also Tom Hardy playing John "Johnny" Davis >>>>> Jax father John Teller
-now I want the prequal of SoA Sutter always spoke of but never made
-how the fuck FOCUS thinks this movie will be a summer hit is beyond me
-there were like 10 people with us in the cinema
-the movie is slow, nostalgic and filled with long kinda weird dialouges (like you expected this "specific" sort of men would talk with each other LOL)
-it also includes lots of smoking and staring and close ups
-great storytelling
-great authentic atmosphere/look/settings
-Austin Butler is very pretty
-he's even prettier close up
-practically me every time he showed up
(also their "first meeting" and everything around cracked me up 😅)
-he's like Jax Teller but better (morally)
-I wish we learned more of his character Benny "Benjamin" Cross
(literally his reaction to his full 'fancy' name)
-Tom Hardy WHAT IS THIS VOICE???????????????????????????????
- he has very nice lips though
-overall he's doing his weird thing nothing really new here I wonder if he's capable to not overdrawn a character
-Boyd Holbrook WHAT ARE THOSE TEETHS????????????????????????? (altogether his role was pleasantly bigger than I expected - he was also born for this role it's like pouring from every single pore and oh boy this man is tall those legs give me a break)
-Jodie Comer next to Boyd the stand out for me also LOVED LOVED LOVED this story filled with filthy (literally) men was told from her perspective
-the one scene were they fighting I almost droppped my panties it was the "hottest" scene for me (everything else between them was very reserved actually they had a intimate coordinator in the credits and I was shouting to my friend FOR WHAT???? 😄)
-also yeah the triangle was there and I felt the pressure of all three of them
-Mike Faist is really charismatic (more than I thought)
-Toby Wallace (don't think I saw him before) but man he was intense - can't believe he's already 29 he looks much younger
-some very violent scenes sometimes I really had to gasp
-loved the nostalgic 60s vibes
-loved the vintage motorbikes (it was really cool when they were all roaring I felt it in my seat)
-don't know if it was intended but I also had to laugh a lot
-"It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic" more like "It would be tragic if it wasn't so funny"
-it cracked me up they all had tattooed their names somewhere like in case for some amnesia? 🤣
-great soundtrack
-now I want to re watch Sons of Anarchy
8/10 🍿
