One of my all time favorites.
Keira & Matthew Macfadyen are INTENSE
How someone can claim Darcy isn't falling for her from the very first moment is beyond me. The man is a hot mess from the moment he laid eyes on Lizzy 😄
But this time I watched it mainly for the late Donald and his lovely portrait of Mr Bennett
REST IN PEACE DONALD SUTHERLAND (1935–2024)

The mix of love, coming of age and anti-Semitism story seems a bit weird sometimes but it's still kinda sweet 💗 Claire Danes was/is a force of nature what an actress for such a young age!
Couldn't decide if Jude Laws character is a dick or not lol
Jude Law is utterly gorgeous
no wonder she's falling hard for him

I like this movie more than the novel..(this movie is not liked by Austen purists), I watch it once in a while mainly because it is well written, well shot, well casted and has Keira at the peak of her attractiveness..

For me she's the most beautiful 7 years later in Anna Karenina (2012). Also from director Joe Wright and also with Matthew Macfadyen lol

I'm a guy so in P & P her personality and wittiness is really cute, and make her attractive to me. She is also noticeably younger too. (wife material)

The terrible shaky camera work gave me a major headache but I thought the problematic topic of being jewish and a victim and a perpetrator was very interesting.
I'm also kinda into Jannis Niewöhner even though his character was really.... unlikable lol

One of my all time faves even though it's incredible sad.

With Atonement I watched it in the theaters and thought it was quite good (and sad). The first half was particularly very good and resembled a dream/nightmare. The second half wasn't as memorable to me.

I edited my post after I wrote the one about Anna K

Cute and funny

I cried a lot. If you want to watch a real life human hero watch this doc. Outstanding fighting inspiring sweet empathetic powerhouse of a woman. Love her

And finally

The weakest of the trilogy (also the least scary), but still great. Loved the cast (especially Mia Goth, Elizabeth Debicki and Giancarlo Esposito) and the setting (80s LA, Hollywood movie production and mass murders committed by religious fanatics). I enjoyed it a lot💯 @Jade Bahr
Mia Goth

@Lilja K I also think THE QUIET PLACE DAY 1 was the "weakest" of all 3 parts but more in connection with the 2 other movies than as a stand alone piece. It lacked a bit of new ideas when it comes to the horror/alien elements aka it didn't really do anything for the other 2 movies or the universum it's set in imo. It's still very much worth the watch. I loved Joseph Quinn and Lupita Nyong’o together
They're dynamic is really sweet, heartbreaking and sometimes even funny.
This picture explained pretty much everything. Love them
This dude is also my hero 🥰
What I liked most about the movie that despite it's placed in this huge city NYC it's actually a very intimate journey of two strangers meeting in a horrible life threating event building such a strong life affirming bond. And there is Frodo (the cat) the little matchmaker 💘
