Here's some progress of a current project of mine. It'll be the smallest Celtic Cross I've tried yet. Going for an 8x10. These are just the plan and a few preliminary sketches of a few knot panels I've never tried before today. Its difficult to get the line width and proportion correct so I do them large first and try to scale them down. Enjoy, critique, or just laugh.

Keep in mind these were done quickly and in ball point. I have a super fine point hand dipped quill style pen to do these in.

Laffy are those pieces related? i like that red/brown/orange/burnt umber color weaving thru the neutral. how did u get that wording on there? i can't quite make it out...something like "widget is humble yet awesome" written backwards...anyhoo, lol , look forward to seeing the finished pieces.

Looks like it'll be a great piece when your done, I've never been good at incorporating text into anything. I can do some pretty good caligraphy variations but they don't ever fit the subject of my designs.
