Food

Toberone chocolate is pretty good.  Had it for the first time since I was small child.  Also bought 4 1/2 pounds of truffles.

Aldi is really popular especially during these times.  Their food is of decent quality but with extremely low prices, either similar to Costco or lower. Their packaged food is extremely cheap for the quality.  

I had a really good beef stew with potatoes and fatty meat shaved off of pork ribs.  The consistency of the soup was somewhat watery and fatty.  Used the soup as a curry for the high quality Japanese white rice.  Washed it down with a few glasses of red wine.

Thanksgiving dinner.  No turkey:

BBQ Ribs, steaks, roasted chickens, mushroom/cabbage/pork belly stir fry, pot of white rice, sweet potatoes out of the oven

beef stew again after a long walk in deep fog:

lamb chops and pork chops & pan fried potatoes

Christmas Eve dinner

spicy fish soup and dumplings

Christmas dinner:

We had one pan-seared mackerel each with a steak & bbq pork ribs with rice & salad

what did you guys eat?

We went the easy way this year; sandwiches, chips, dips and such.

We nibbled throughout the day.

Ham and Turkey.

that pizza looks good .  

I have 5 bags of sushi rice now.  I've never seen rice grains so delicate and small.
