There's nothing wrong with asking that question dude.

A pot luck is where people get together which is usually a party and each person brings their own different dish.

Pot Luck Example: chips & dip, rice, beans, kabobs, fruit, casserole, egg rolls, cheesecake.

I'm surprised this idea didn't come from a State Fair.

LOL combination doesn't make sense.  Would you eat fried chicken and cake in one bite?

i was in a quaint town in Vermont over Memorial day weekend and there was a town fair.  A lot of 'Circus' type food, very coarse but that's part of the charm.

Norwegian Smoked Salmon Trout - Whole Side.jpg

I got a wild smoked salmon @ a 50% discount of $15 a pound .  It is salty but very fresh.  Good for sandwiches, crackers, or sushi.

Went for poutine today, and got some fun speciality ones. The top one is Italian sausage, bacon bits, sautéed mushrooms, and onions, and the bottom is butter chicken with green peas. They were both super tasty.

My lunch yesterday:

A steak "a lo pobre", which is a stake with a fried egg, caramelized onion and fries on the side:

(A regular plate was too small for all this  )

The fries I made them myself too, cutting them and all.

Two pics of the process:
