When I said I saw the definition in a new light, I meant it metaphorically

and it just so happens that the new angle of the definition was dark..

In other words, it was a play on words

Romantic love is when you can't wait to talk to that person...you feel totally comfortable with them...you trust them...and most of all, you genuinely want that person to be happy.

I also don't think you get envious of other women/men when you're in love...you trust your partner and feel such a connection with him/her that you know nothing threatens it.
