Well, if you think about the fact that this whole thread was started by another guy, i don't see how Fred's comment was as disgusting as you say, rockTheSky. It was kinda funny actually.

Not that you asked me - and despite the thread title being as plain (straight) as I think it could be - perhaps some are taking it to mean what they appreciate first in a man.

However, answering the question in the context of the thread title, and given that light travels faster than sound, it's impossible to notice anything other than looks in anyone when you first see them. Thus, making this statement:

I know its hard to understand.. I look at personality, it is what I "see". Its easy to notice more than the looks.. its called observation, I do not need to talk or interact with someone to see how they respond to their environment and other people. A nice face or butt can have a real jerk personality so what is the attraction there? I guess my immunity to physical attraction has a lot to do with the friends I had when I grew up.

And as for people who talk or interract with someone before they look at appeal.. I have had girl friends who found voices to be a major attraction, so it would be something they first notice. Looks are one things but for some people it is not anything they want to look for first. How do you think men with accents get so much further then more physically attractive men that have the native tongue?
