It is sad notice. It is sad when good business of your taste close. I remember old shops and pubs, and sometimes very about It.

COVID destroyed two of my favorite places (a good steakhouse and this book store).

What is concerning is how the whole 'town center' vibe is completely decimated in the US.  Malls are in very bad shape.

I don't want to hear anything Dem or Libtard say "there is no proof".

Over 170 US Treasury "suspicious activity reports" (SARS) were filed by banks regarding the Bidens during Joe Biden's time as Vice President. These reports involve significant amounts of money being received by the Bidens from individuals with suspicious backgrounds, who are not American citizens. Numerous emails, receipts, and records exist, highlighting payments received by Hunter's company.

A trusted and paid FBI informant, who has been a long-term source of information, informed the FBI that the head of Burisma claimed to have paid the Bidens $10 million to remove the prosecutor investigating the company. The FBI partially verified the information contained in this report.

IRS whistleblowers testified under oath that they found a wealth of evidence pointing to potential money laundering and hidden financial activities by Hunter Biden. Unfortunately, they claimed to have been prevented from pursuing the investigations further by their superiors.

Also TRUMP 2024! I would like Vivek as VP.... and if for whatever reason Trump is unable to run as President, then Vivek has my support and vote. ❤️

Too bad the Republicans are feckless, weak, and backstabbers so nothing will happen unless the Democrats decide to remove him/do something.

Republicans better wake up if they want to win in 24. They were too dumb to figure out that the voting rules were changed before the 20 election and challenged them after the election results. The Uniparty and China working together to unleash the pandemic to effect the election so the above could happen is a story for another time.

Trump 2024!

Part of me wants to buy this figure but the other part of me knows that it doesn't make any sense from a lore standpoint and I already have the exact same figure but in (more appropriate) black armor.  It does look kind of cool but it doesn't match any of the other statues in the collection.

I think in terms of lore it is the exact opposite thing that a witcher would wear, and something that Geralt would have contempt for.

@Enrico_sw  @SympathysSilhouette  what do you think?

This armor is picked up in the Land of a thousand fables (Toussant relic armor)

Yeah, I remember this armor from Toussaint. It's not my favorite... it's too shiny and it doesn't look like what a knight would wear either. The steel version is better.

And from Toussaint, Damien's armor is my favorite. I also like hjs sword

I'm starting to think that I should really read the witcher's books that I have bought a long time ago...

So in the books, I hear that he doesn't wear two swords on his back (which is what this cover seems to show as well - the second sword seems to be at his waist?)

Well, well, well... the most "virtue signalling" are often times the less virtuous. Political correctness is a fool's game. Always was. Always will be.

Youtube is turning itself into more like Tiktok and heavily boosting Youtube shorts over their long form videos.  This makes it less attractive to invest huge amounts of time to make high quality long form content.

I think this will probably in the long run decrease the quality of the long form videos, like how streaming ruined films.

The golden statue costs around $100 with shipping & taxes.  It is a limited edition with only 2000 copies.  I have the normal Touissant Knight armor, looks like this:

I searched around and it turns out that Gold armor was typically worn by Kings or high nobility.  It seems to be more ceremonial/symbolic than practical.

Damien's Touissant Captain's armor looks to be missing the breastplate.   like padded leather, maybe with chain mail inside? I don't know.  It seems that in general, the knights of the Touissant guard wear dark read and black stripes undernealth.

All the books are on youtube, narrated by Peter Kenny the last time I checked.

Sapkowski a few days ago said that he is working on Book 8 and will be done in 1 year.

The 2 swords on his back varies in the books.   He is usually wielding one Iron Sword with the Silver sword stored on Roach.  If he needs silver he switches the sword.  But he is written as carrying 2 swords on his back sometimes as well.

Queen Meve of Rivia from Thronebreaker and the later Witcher novels is depicted like this in CDPR, with golden armor.  It does not appear that any of her knights wear gold armor either.  Various English kings wore golden armor suits as well, historically:

the-witcher-season-2-queen-meve-1246735.087499.jpg

In the books, Geralt stumbles into an ongoing battle that has nothing to do with him and is forced to fight on accident.  After the battle he ends up getting knighted by Meve for his 'achievements' as Geralt of Rivia.  The Thronebreaker cutscene shows Geralt smirking at Meve while she knights him.  Then he deserts her army just like in the books.  I just finished Book 1 a second time again and Sapkowski writes of Geralt's contempt for knights, similar in his mind as mafia enforcers with the feudal system as a criminal organization.

The first time I saw this character trait is at the very beginning of Witcher 3 in White Orchard where Geralt meets the Nilfgaard Officer pretending to show concern for the peasants.

my instagram, twitter, and facebook accounts are complete failures as cut & paste advertising.  They have brought in almost zero traffic.  It seems like these social media have no SEO value unless you pay for it, attract followers from other platforms, or spend your life building the platform itself.

Tiktok & youtube shorts on the other hand has had slow but steady traffic.  Tittok is very stingy. Unless I get viral on tiktok I'll never get monetized in a reasonable timeframe, I only get around 60 followers a month by posting 2 advertisements a day.

The Critical Drinker is spot on, as usual! It's a very good video, like most of what he does.

He's one of the persons I trust the most on movies.
