I think Elon is 'tech bro alt right' - basically an incoherent mis-mash of various beliefs. It seems that Mark Zuckerberg has been sucked in too, or is pretending to be.

Among the interests popular among them is the 'superiority' of classical western civilization, especially the Romans and why modern civilizations in the west should adopt more of their traits.
