TBH I am disappointed that they never made a more call of duty like version of Halo. Halo combat evolved had the best enemy AI when it came out. But somehow game developers haven't been able to make great AI for shooters yet even though it's been 20 years.

Huh? Maybe just crank up the difficulty. The AI can actually get really smart - try CP2077 on harder settings if you're looking for a challenge.

I think HALO has the most interesting and dynamic AI . When it came out it was by far the best AI for shooters. Call of Duty series and most shooters have AI that is pretty similar to 20 yrs ago. Didn't play 2077.

What I was hoping for back then was that AI would evolve into enemy team/self preservation type behavior. Never seen a shooter that has that yet.
