This letter is concerning one of your "top" models, Miss Adriana Lima.I have been one of Adriana's fan for many years now, and think her work gets better and better each year, but with that I feel like she gets less and less work each year as well. Every year I think Adriana will have her "break out" year with Victoria's Secret. I always looked forward to getting the catalogs as a fan and flipping through and seeing her face, but it seems recently you really have to look to find one picture of her between all the pictures of Alessandra and Gisele Bundchen, as well as the new "Angels". Last year when the company did the Angels Across America tour, I made sure I tuned in to see if I could see any coverage of it, but all I seen was interviews and shows presenting the names Heidi, Tyra, and Gisele. No Adriana, and as well no Alessandra, I tried to understand giving the benifit to Heidi and Tyra for senority. I was so thrilled to learn that then she would be on the late late show after the Angel tour, and she looked unbelieveable. She made the audience laugh, she interacted with them and she seemed very classy.So In March when the Swim Catalog came out Adriana got the cover of the 10th anniversary swim catalog. I had heard before, that recieving that particular cover could boost a models career and the model on the swim cover would be on Leno or Letterman, Adriana never was. This incident would not have bothered me if I wouldn't have recently learned that everytime any other model received that cover they were on a talk show of that calibar, Adriana wasn't not even a late late show apperence. She was barely even interviewed during all the entertainment news coverage of the swim catalog. Later in the year the company came out with the collectiable book of rare images and the models did the launch in NY, and so I thought that Adriana (being the cover model) would be on a talk show then, but much to my surprise Gisele was, which really upset me and many of her fans. It seemed like since Adriana was the cover girl the company was just going to forget all the publicity that went into the regular routine.

Victoria's Secret is known for thier perfume, and each model gets their own launch. ok. In May Adriana did a launch for the newest Victoria's Secret Perfume So In Love, but there was absoluty NO media coverage of this event, as in there was for Heidi's launch of an earlier perfume that year as well as Gisele. Also, the year before (2004)Angels came out with the Angels Uplift bra there was no launch of this bra at all, and Adriana was the face and body of this new bra. In March of 2005 Victoria's Secret came out with there Ipex bra, Gisele once again did a huge launch in Time square and appered on about 8 talk shows that day alone, and then later in the year, they did the Ipex demi once again Gisele was there and doing all the talk shows. Then in Las Vegas the ceasers palace opened there Victoria's Secret Store, according to results I have seen from the Angels tour Adriana was the most popular model there, but yet Gisele was sent back to do the opening of the store. Before you say that Adriana's schedule is too full to do more perfume or shoots, I would believe that if Gisele didn't do so much more than Adriana and you can't convince me Gisele isn't just as booked or even more so than Adriana.

When Christmas came around the cover came out, and Alessandra had the cover, but then she was publicized so much! I work at the local Victoria's Secret store, and she is on EVERY poster, and every commercial, she has two or three of her own this year. Again this would not bother me but the two years Adriana recieved the Christmas covers (2003, and 2004) that was all it was was a cover, she was not pushed at all like Alessandra has been this year. Also, when Adriana recieved these covers, in 2003, there was a backup Christmas cover with Alessandra on the cover. In 2004 there was a backup one with Gisele on it. This year there were 3 or 4 differnet covers but all were Alessandra. Also the fantasy bra, Gisele once again got it this year, she has had it three times, Heidi 3 or 4 and Tyra 2 or 3 and Adriana has recieved it not even once. So in November the Victoria's Secret Show was filmed and it was a pretty cool concept the whole Christmas theme, when the box opened with the girls, Gisele Opened and Karolina came out and then Alessandra, then models that weren't even really well known. So Adriana dropped in 2003 from opening the show to the second runway!!! So on the day the show was supposed to air, models were on interviews everywhere on every entertainment show you could imagine. Alessandra was on 5, Gisele was on at least 5, and the new angels Selita and Izabel were on 2! While Adriana was on 1 if you could even count it, she wasn't shown much and she didn't even really get interviewed.It seems like you are telling the one who seems the most intelligent of all the models to sit and be pretty while, the other models are opening there mouths on talk shows and removing all doubt. When the special aired on CBS there was maybe a whole 15 seconds combined of Adriana on that specail while there was tons of coverage of the other models, you felt like when they showed her on the runway they were doing because they felt obligated too.

It seems to me that the company is just overlooking her completely, I recently made a trip to Italy, and Adriana is everywhere over there, since her contract with Tim is alive and well. There is no reason Victoria's Secret could not push her like they do Gisele and Alessandra. I am beiginning to think that Victoria's Secret is just keeping her around to say yea we have Adriana Lima. But I am asking for me and several of the fans a realistic explanation for this, although I don't think there is one. It seems to me they are giving new wings to any model that comes through the doors, but clipping Adriana's.

I am also including some letters people have wrote about Victoria's Secret not pushing Adriana and missing her work with the company. I have also included some online signtures with people who agree with me please find them attached.

i just saw that over on WFT and thought...wow...WTF?!

I got a kick out of reading that too. Like the receptionist at the VS headquarters was like, "Hold on I'll get Monica Mitro on the phone for you right away Ma'am" It's a fucking joke. And using forum members usernames to add to the petition, oh yeah, that gives it credibility. Not like she couldn't just make up 5,000 names and add 'em all. That letter is going to get filed at VS under "Retarded" that's if it gets that far. Just another one of her ploys to get people to suck harder on her ass.

Not only that but no one at VS is going to take someone seriously, when they can't break a letter up into simple paragraphs. The least she could have done is at least try to make it look like she took her time writing it. It's like one big run on sentence, and not to mention there is an amazing amount of spelling errors, in very easy to spell words.

At the very most she'll get herself awarded top spot on Adriana's potential stalkers list.

I think the Miss Latina username is probably just a coincidence, lets hope anyways.

yeah...here's the real problem. i checked her IP just now for two reasons. 1. i swore she had in her siggie the other day something like: formerly AdriFan. i thought i was going crazy so i didnt even think about it...and lo and behold, its no longer in her sig. 2. when she made slea's thread...didnt make sense to me. a girl with 70 something posts...who's only been here since november? slea hasnt even been around in that time...so how the hell did she know who he was. this made me think back on what it said in her sig, that maybe i wasnt going crazy...so i just checked. anyway, someone...block her ass.

haha you know, i want to believe that...but there is something very suspicious about the fact that she put in her sig that she was formerly AdriFan. that suggests to me that she thought it was OK to be back, and that someone had approved her return. if she were just trying to sneak back in why would she be so stupid to announce herself like that? maybe she is, but if that be the case, that's just fuckin sad.
