Wtf at the end?
^Sorry, lapsed into spanish homilies! I just meant it is what it is - people spoiling for some aggro the world over. It's no indication of your city, I'm sure.

Plus this is most weekends, outside after a clásico football match, here anyway... villagers.gif

Ah the spanish that explains it No no, out city is okay, I personally hate it, but most love it

And I guess it's just the culture of things, that ya this stuff happens in other places of the world fairly commonly, but the stereotype of canadians and our love for hockey just help fuel this, as there hasn't been this much coverage about it in a long time and since Vancouver is deemed "a nice place to be"

*sigh*

This is some of the stuff that went on last night... Makes me ashamed that I live in the Lower Mainland..

People can be such dicks :yuckky: I could not watch the whole video, my adrenaline started to rise too high :persuazn: beat them with sticks, idiots! But we have had something similar to these here too - especially when it goes to football (soccer) of our national teams, some fans are just aggresive fu*king idiots, injuring people, making mess and fires...

Chara has changed his playing style recently, and it's working quite well actually as you see

And ya I know he's Slovak Jennka, and it was more a general statement of course, thus the "no offence" thing!

It's just more typical over the years it looks that way. But everyone for Boston plays a very old school/north american style of play.

Maybe if you live close enough to where he is you can go see the stanley cup when he brings it home! That would be amazing.

I might see if i can go when Lucic brings it back, I might go, cause I love how Lucic plays (similar to how i play/played) and he's an awesome guy

Oh, I did not get offended, I was just so proud I had to tell you when I heard it in the morning from the radio, my heart jumped, and I instantly thought - I have to say Limey

Now that would be awesome, to see it Lucic is a Canadian player?

Oh, and Limey, finallyyy I got to watch your video with sound I could not hear everything, because the audio was really low and fruitlover kept murmuring all the time behind my back while packing (he knows I hate it, so he does it all the time), but I heard something about my signature, that I have to change it? Back to Nina?

and of course, you having to learn and being fine but whoa, video dedicated to me

I don't know what's up with the audio I really don't, i've tried fixing it but I'm gonna tinker with it again on monday when I make the next one see if i can fix it.

But ya, i said that Nina from her upper body and up is And you need to change the sig/avi back to her

Ya it was bassically just a Jennka vid I meant to do other's but i had literally spent 45 minutes trying to get it done at that point i just made one final shot and it turned out like that, but you're welcome

It's insane. Again, as I said i'm a hardcore fan of the Wild, but if they win, i'm not gonna riot and be an idiot. I'll celebrate but not do that stuff, it's just worse that most of the people like i said don't even care about the sport *sigh* Oh well, I don't blame you for not watching it all.

Haha (Y) I would be too That's kind of you! Yes, Lucic and a majority of the roster is Lucic originally played here in Vancouver for the Vancouver Giants (the junior hockey team here) and he helped them win a memorial cup (the championship) so it's bittersweet for hardcore fans. But overall it's good to see the cup will be here though carried by a player who really cared (Lucic) I might go if i have the time off/ know when he's coming.

Ironically that about Europeans in the playoffs is often said in the NBA as well. Even though its still often said overall and has been said of him his whole career, Dirk was able to finally shed the 'soft' (used to be easily intimidated by physical play) and 'chocker' (late in games) label this year. Since you said ask you anything about the hockey draft, I guess you might as well start by saying whether there are any prospects you're looking forward to in particular .

It's kinda weird how the Europeans are targeted like that I know some don't have that label but just as a majority, and you can't/don't really see it in Football or Baseball much and by that i mean NFL and MLB, cause it's mostly NA and Mexico/Japan (Baseball) and almost all NA for football.

As for the draft, I haven't really followed much into it, as I've been busy, but Ryan Nugent-Hopkins i'm excited for, he'll be a good player. The overall fight for who will go #1 is interesting, as there's 2 forwards a centre and a winger, and a defensemen all in the race i believe. Now if Edmonton keeps their #1 pick, i'd like to see them go Defence, just to help that out. But they have been talking about trading it for the right price, so we'll see what happens there.

I'm just interested in the off season as a whole, there's alot that will change as it does every season, but i think everyone is watching Philly, cause they finally have a legit #1 goalie the rights to him anyways, but due to Cap, they need to free up 5-6 mil and trade a star player... i think that draws a ton of attention.

Video number two: (Audio is low again, will try and fix if/when 4rd one comes)

^Honoured, I'm sure! 1062wine.gif

Where were all the aboots and ehs though?!?!

I was wondering this too

The audio wasn't particularly low for me, but I did notice it was out of sync.. so by the time you were talking about someone you were already off their page

It's not a perfect process! :avada: I do the best I can with what I got It's more of a live streaming tool i'm using, so recording local stuff ya there'd a delay as it's more meant for streaming.

You can also blame me for rambling a bit I have a tendency to do lil things like that especially when something else comes to mind that I think of.

Nothing is good enough for the Bz people Again, new one monday

Its amazing to see how many over 40 guys there are in hockey :| . They're talked about like they're fossils in other sports it seems. I like to see them out there mixing it up though. There's also a movie called The Miracle you might like. I haven't seen it myself , but they say its pretty good and might give you that feel good movie feeling. So does it take guys awhile to get used to the pros or do they adjust relatively quickly?

Gordie Howe played into his 50's He was a beast. But ya, hockey's an odd sport, you can be that 35+ year old player and be an elite player, like Tim Thomas, Nicklas Lidstrom, Teemu Selanne etc..

And it's called Miracle on Ice Joe. When the states coached by herb brooks put together a team of junior/college players and beat the soviet Union (at the time the most dominant team in international play) in the semi finals, and eventually won the gold medal. It's a very good movie, well done one of my favorite ones, that and the fact alot of it was filmed here in the lower mainland which was cool

And it all depends really, some guys can adapt quickly some can't. It all depends on the style of game and how you see the ice. Bobby Ryan of the ducks was the #2 pick behind Crosby years back, and it took him a few years to break it, but when he did he's become an elite scorer, compared to Ovechkin who entered the league and dominated. But overall, there's just the sophmore blues a lot of players go through, or they have rookie blues and do well the next year, it depends alot on who's coaching/the team you're on as well.

In the eyes of an angel

Fly away from here

In the arms of the angel

There's a cold...of your silence

In the arms of the angel

I will look into it for you Jennks and let you know. The best and usual thing is just listen to the news, usually for some reason they get it first before the public even knows about it. So ya, BUT if I find when it's coming to Slovakia before you do i'll be sure to PM you about it.

I actually heard that too yesterday? or today. I couldn't believe it just cause it looked so photoshopped, amazing

Thanks for posting it though Jennka Haven't seen that article.

And no problem! I know there's not a huge amount of Slovakian's in the league, and it's a once in a lifetime thing for a lot of people, so why not!

till now, Stanley Cup has been in Slovakia for 5 times, last year with Hossa and Kopecky and this year with Chara for the sixth time

yeah, I thought it was photoshop too and then I read the article, and whoa, now that was for real!! Amazing
