Cambridge, England, but next year I will be living in Kingston, Canada. No longer will I have to spend ridiculous amounts of money on crap that should be cheap.

I don't think you wanted to know what we do, but since you mentioned what you do, I am studying at a horrible university that I hate more than anything. It really is a bad university. I swear that all the staff are brain dead morons and an orangutan with a frontal lobotomy could do the job better than they can. That's another thing that I am looking forward to when I move to Canada; not having to deal with uni and waking up at 4 in the morning to practise the art of sitting on my arse for long periods of time as I commute there.

i feel your pain since i was raised in London, England and now live in the states.

No, I go to London Metropolitan. I hate going to London and when I come back my nose is always running and when I blow my nose it's all black from the pollution. :yuckky: The only reason I went there is because it had the course I wanted to take and I could do it on its own without having to do a joint course. Cambridge didn't have that course and only two people I knew got into there. However, I am hoping to continue my course at the University of British Columbia, or maybe York University in Canada.

Yes, and this university doesn't even consider students who commute at all. They let me spend all my time and money travelling there to find out a lecture/seminar's been cancelled. They don't allow for students to e-mail in coursework because you need a coversheet, so I waste an entire day going down there just to get one of those for my work and I can't finish work early enough to post it, so I waste another day going all the way there just to hand in an essay. It's stupid.

I do miss out on a lot of uni stuff, but I hardly have anything in common with the other students, anyway. I can't drink alcohol and so most of the other people don't even bother talking to me.

Dont take this the wrong way but Canadas higher education isn't up to par. FYI

Well, anything is better than London Met! I bet in Canada, there aren't many students who starved for a month because of the university; the uni didn't confirm that they were studying there and so they didn't receive their loan money and as they had just moved to London they hadn't found jobs, yet and were living on baked beans on toast.

At least I didn't have to starve, but my first semester was still a nightmare.
