Maybe it's my own obliviousness (if that is, in fact, a word) but I haven't seen you around these parts in a while. Welcome back. ![]()

Ophelia, do you know the Final Fantasy series for sure? Who is your favourite chara?

"I like redheads. Their mouths are like a drop of strawberry jam in a glass of milk."
I've been watching Mad Men - I heard this and, naturally, I thought of you... ![]()

^I thought it had scared you off!awww ty Baron!I'm going to save that quote for sure!
We don't really do Hallowe'en (at least not in the same sense) - but screw those people anyways!
I keep forgetting that I have my own thread here
I'm watching alot of Korean and Japanese Dramas, and talking about them on tumblr. There are so few people here that know any Asian stars ![]()
Halloween is my favorite holiday, it's the only one I get excited for ![]()

hi Ophelia,
What do you find special about Korean culture?
Seeing as Korean culture is new to me, I couldn't explain.
I just started watching Korean tv and movies.
The acting seems to be far superior to what we get here.
I could actually point out what I dislike more lol.
My interests are still centered in Japan ![]()

I have studied the Chinese language and I understand the Chinese to a respectable degree. They're very family oriented but less communal outside of the family-unit. I've known many Korean people, but I haven't really had the opportunity to really dive-in deeply and really understand their society. The Koreans, from what I've experienced, seem to be race/culture oriented and tend to cling strongly together, just like the Japanese.
I think the Chinese have really produced some interesting films (but a lot is tainted by ideology) .
And hey!!!!! ![]()

^Yeah, but what you gonna do? I wonder, do you know of Dohyo Girl starring my very own Nozomi Sasaki? It came out last year and she's a sumo trainer!I keep forgetting that I have my own thread hereI'm watching alot of Korean and Japanese Dramas, and talking about them on tumblr. It is quite silly, and the subtitles I had were very poor but, well, she looks lovely - and when she's sad it's heartbreaking for me!
I had no idea! I'm going to have to download that! Nozomi is so cute! ![]()
I just got done watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. It was fantastic!

And I have a new crush now, Shin Min Ah:

^That's quite an exposition! Those troublesome nine-tailed foxes!

Why thank you! The way Michael joins the vampire gang in 'The Lost Boys' is strikingly similar to how Joe seduced me into joining the staff. ![]()
Is Doctor Who still going on your side of the pond? Saturday's episode was the finale over here. ![]()

^I just saw it myself...
Kind of obvious who it was and how he was going to get out of it don't you think?
<Have to remember it's a "family " show though!

^Yes, we do have to think of the children! I liked it though - there was an awful lot going on (and I'm not sure if River should have existed in a reality where Amy and Rory weren't together) but in the end Moffat managed to pull it all together quite well, and it didn't feel as OTT as 'Journey's End'. 'Twas a very elaborate plot to kill the Doctor though, wasn't it? ![]()

^Yeah, the histrionics of 75% of the Tennant-era Who I could've done without. Not every story needs to be about the END OF THE WORLD! <_< Call me sentimental, but I liked the slightly less bombastic storylines of the original show - my favourites since the reboot have followed a similar vein...
Matt Smith is my fave Doctor.
I'm going to miss him when he leaves after the next season ![]()
