Adel is a great singer, really never heard of her? Ashley Graham is a plus sized model (quite unknown) and Ksenia is a model, Russian model contest winner (as long as I know) and quite a newcomer
I don't listen to mainstream music at all, and I'm certainly not up to date with it. Hell I don't even think I've watched MTV/VH1 in about 18 years, nor do I listen to the radio

Adele is the only singer that caught my attention (alongside with Amy Mcdonald) in the last 5 years I seem not to understand mainstream music at all

Dunno about this one but it would be a great loss, considering that she is one of the few nowadays singers that can actually sing, lol.
