^ Yeah I still have these issues too with members avatars. Some I see dark, some completely white. But the problem seems to be gone after a few seconds. I used to see my avatar darker as well until I reuploaded the gif.
Something went really weird for me. All the avs were green, and then my browser(Chrome on Windows 10) froze up. This has happened twice to me so far tonight. I had the avatars all show on black on mobile too(Safari on iPhone).

Sorry for the issues, I need to rewrite some code to make it use webm (for Chrome) and add "posters" so that they dont show up green/black while it loads. Hopefully it works as it should save a ton of bandwidth for both me and you guys (aka make the site load faster). The 'gifs' can be like 4mb+ in size and once i convert them to mp4/webm they are like 0.5mb with same quality.
Ill try to get to it sometime this weekend.
Can we embed gifv & html5 video on BZ? Gfycat works, but they still end up increasing in size when embedded. We've spoken about the gfycat problem before though.

What do you mean increasing the size? And when you say embed you mean like

The gifv videos from imgur look like instagram posts when embedded.
