DB corruption and the fact I was super swamped with other things I needed to take care of over the weekend, I could only get an hour or two to work on it per day so I could never resolve the issue

Last night I stayed up till 2am and got it working

Are you using FastServ, at least as per the domain DNS history? I have a much better experience with OVH dedicated servers, faster links, stable service, and of course more cost effective option accounting for all the bandwidth and server speed. If you have any questions we can discuss. On OVH you could have a main, and a backup dedicated server, virtualized (vSphere), with full backups/redundancy and restore with a click of a button (accounting for the proper virtualization backup software). Not advertising OVH here, just offering technical advice

Corruption sounds bad.
What was the solution..restoring backups?

Thank you for that, I was _almost_ starting to get worried!

Yes, I spent too much time trying to isolate the bad table but ultimately just restored it from a previous nightly backup. So we lost ~1days worth of data but not the end of the world I suppose.

We own our own servers and I have a backup server as well, but it was mostly I just didnt have enough time to fix the issue. Otherwise it would have only been a few hour outage. But thanks for the info.
And the spoiler button is back, yaaay! Thanks!
Just want to say, that website didn't let me sign in, implying i had wrong pass (which i didn't), then i got e-mail about "login attempts" with which i remade into a new password.
Was very weird thing to do. At first i thought my account disappeared, btw.
Can the admins ask members that post papparazzi pics to please put them in spoiler tags?

I don't know what this means.
Oh, the activity stream. People post here all the time that it's not working.

Everyone,
I apologize for the site being down for the better part of the week. I had been out of town with limited connectivity.
So we ran out of disk space (again) and it caused some DB corruption. Due to some unfortunate timing I had to restore the DB to Dec 21st.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused and I will be working next week to add additional storage to the server so these issues will stop.

Thanks for having the site up again!

So, all content between Dec 21 and today is forever lost? Or will that be recovered somehow?

Do you need any donations to help you out?

I have the IBD files and I tried recovering from them but its a very manual process and you need to delete all indexes and what not before you can relink the FRM files to IBD but there were a lot of tables that were failing that relink so I was worried about the integrity if I did it that way. I ended up restoring from a clean backup on the 21st. Backups are run daily but since we had no disk space all backups were truncated part way through due to no disk space.
I was on vacation unfortunately so I wasn't keeping an eye out
Sorry

Im good, I appreciate the thought though

Thanks you got us the biggest part back.
Thanks for the revive!
I posted so much content since 21st, and for all of it to go into the ether forever ...well, this is crushing to say the least.

Sorry
Probably next week once I have some time I will take a look at some software that claims it can recover data directly from the IBD files. All the attachments and what not are still on our server, just the posts that are associated with them are not. But I would not count on it working.
I apologize for the inconvenience

Thank you to resolve the problems on this forum & i don't know why the site become to have problems.
