So this has been driving me crazy. I can see the query in the DB that is causing the issues but I could not, for the life of me, figure out where it was coming from. Essentially its reading 11 million rows to return 1 row to each user. So when you get a lot of uses, say 500 online then you can do the math.
Anyways after many days of trying to find it, I decided to reboot the machine. And now I do not see the issue anymore 😐
So hopefully it does not come back. I will keep an eye out but please let me know if you see it pop up again.

Yea, I also see the spoiler button missing! And there is still malfunctions in loading.
I just got the Error 504 gateway timeout
@maddog107 thanks for the work you put into this. guess we just have to be a bit more patient while you are trying to get rid of the problem. and yes, had the error 504 message just now and the spoiler is gone for new postings.

Thanks for this, but boy is the site difficult to use now.
Still working slow, very slow. Plus I'm having trouble with PMs not working.
Activity Streams aren't working either. 
Searching isn't working.
I think I have located the issue and it is due to a bad memory stick. I will work with the datacenter to resolve the issue.
