I'd like to know why the pictures uploaded on BZ server are not opening on a new tab anymore but on the same page?
Before (2/3 weeks ago) when I was clicking on a picture uploaded on BZ like

the pic was opening on a new tab when clicked, now it opens on the same page
It's only on BZ and i am using firefox
Now if you want the pic to open in another tab, U just have to right click and "open link in new tab"
if thats your issue of course

On a kind of similar, not-so-similar note, I can't open thumbnails on the mobile version of BZ. Images hosted directly on BZ's server open just fine but if I click on a thumbnail hosted from, say, Turboimagehost or Imagebam, it just opens to a blank page. Anybody know why this is happening or how to fix it?

Yea I am suppose to look at this but I, nor the Invision Power Board team really knows what is going on with that mobile thing. I shall take another look see if I can figure it out

Ok after many hours I *kinda* fixed it (although it may break other things). For now you will just have to live with the mobile skin opening external images on the same page instead of a new window. I have updated the ticket with the line number of the code and hopefully that helps them move it along.
At least you guys can view images now, please let me know if that does not work for you. thanks.

Images still aren't opening up for me on my iPhone 5, I click on a photo and it just opens up to a blank page. Every now and then, when I am looking at old threads from years back, it will sometimes open the photo in the same page, but I haven't found any new photos that will open like that. I would say 90% of the time, anytime I click on a photo it just opens to a blank page, I have not been able to open a new photo for a long time. I know I have mentioned this issue before, but the posts above mine kind of sound like the issue is fixed(unless that's a different issue). Anyway, I just wanted to let you know there's stil an issue. Sorry if the posts above are talking about something different.

Can anyone else confirm/deny this. I wonder if the JavaScript that I modified is cached and thats why its still not working for you, it shouldnt try to open in a new window, it should open in the same window as that was the temporary fix. Because you mentioned its still opening in a new window makes me belive its cached. Maybe try clicking "refresh" a few times on your iphone and see if it grabs the newer version of the script.
I tried hitting refresh a bunch of times after clicking on a photo when it went to a blank page, but still nothing. Before it wouldn't give me a loading bar at all, but now it acts like it is trying to load, and the loading bar fills up like 10%, but there is still nothing to reload, or to refresh, because its just a blank page. I tried this on a bunch of different photos from various threads, and no luck. ^ We have discussed this issue many times before,the result always be that these members get banned and a new generation comes after them,it's a circle that has no start or end point,just as Prettyphile said,they just keep coming and coming. It needs a real solid solution,more than banning.Something with the system of BZ that accepts all kinds of hosters needs to change.
Yes...some Member get banned and now the Celebrity Section is filled with Members (registered from 25,26,27 July) upload the same Crap at Imagesion sometimes 3 Members ,same Pics,some upload only Pics - no Information,nothing , no Feedbacks or Replies if you want some Info,only spamming the Board to get Money for that Pop Up Pornsite..
It´s really Time to blacklist some of these ugly Hosting Site and hope all these Idiots who dont care about the Board get out off here.. 
I'm in full agreement with the above also. Over the last few weeks I too have noticed a barrage of new "members" posting from Imagesion and it's getting to the point that they have basically taken over the Actress, Babe Musician and Female Athletes section and now are slowly filtering into the Models sections. I'm all for updates and contributions but these people are making this place more and more insufferable and if something isn't done ASAP it will be a hassle to filter threw all these repetitive posts with ulterior motives.
I'll third that! Something has got to be done. I don't even bother logging in. Come look around to see what's new, and go somewhere else to download it. Sick of the porn crap!!

Since the forum doesn't seem to work very well lately, animated gifs should be temporarily forbidden. As Prettyphile said:
BZ is going through growing pains right now and we're in the middle of dealing with server issues so we've been experiencing lag, slow loading web pages and a load of other issues lately. Please for the sake of everyone; try to keep the GIF's posted to a minimum as it tends to slow down BZ for people with shitty connections, not to mention the extra bandwidth it takes away from people who come to the thread on a regular basis. Thank you
