Speaking of picky, were you the one that said you like women with muscular legs or am I confusing you with someone else? I haven't seen the show. Like you, my schedule hasn't permitted me to watch most of the things I'd like to but am hoping to power though in one setting too . Have you by any chance seen 'Young Justice.' I thought it was good, but not as good as Teen Titans or Justice League, but definitely good. Hopefully Netflix or someone has the other one though. That was a cool thing about being a kid I guess since you could watch things in order . Well, DVRs can probably do that too and I could buy although I don't generally buy shows I haven't seen.

Giiiirl! You up to date with Vampire Diaries & The Originals?! Please give me your thoughts on the Silas story.

I think it's unnecessary and what the fuck Stefan is a doppelganger too? SERIOUSLY?! Julie Plec is obviously running out of ideas because seriously this plot twist was NOT needed at all. Wasn't enough having Katherine go human? Do we really need more Silas crap? I'm so over it. And Caroline waiting for Tyler like a puppy? Whatever happened to her being a strong woman? And now
another
vampire chasing Elena? Is she the Second Coming of Christ or something? Because otherwise I don't understand why every vampire under the soon is after her.

As for The Originals ...

Still don't get who Hayley got knocked up, like I kind of do but I don't really get it? I also hope Klaus stops being such a prick to his family, the poor Elijah got stabbed again lol. Major bummer that Matt stayed in Mystic Falls and didn't go to New Orleans with Rebbekah, dumb choice if you ask me because he has nothing left there while Rebbekah has so much to offer! ... And now that we're discussing Rebbekah, I hope they stop making her such a dumb girl who falls in love with every hot dude she sees, I know she's a hopeless romantic but she can't be that idiot right?

I know it's been forever since you even asked me this, but TVD and TO have kind of become my fluff shows. I've given up all hope that they will ever include coherent story lines or well developed characters with decent continuity so I just kind of watch them when I feel like it and barely even pay attention when I do that. In all honesty, I think I'm a good month behind at least on both shows because whenever they're on or whenever I have free time, I just can't muster up enough interest to actually sit through 45 minutes of either show. At least all their stars are still really pretty! (Y)

Though it was close to too much scoring for my liking, the U.S. vs. Russia was a good one. I thought some of the penalties would do us in but they prevailed. I wonder who will improve on their faults the most for the metal round. It seems that there is a lot of pressure on Russia. Of course there's pressure on Canada because its their national sport. There's generally never that much pressure on America unless its something we're so much better at that silver would be an embarassment (like basketball) although we once said that about sprinting until Jamaica took that over . Either way, even though I don't have enough time to watch even half of them, I'm a big fan of all Olympic sports actually.

^ I've been dreadfully uninterested in the Winter Olympics this year outside of hockey. Actually, I'm not too fond of any of the Winter Olympic events outside of hockey in general? I get it, some people live for the one occasion every four years where they get to get excited over male figure skating and curling but I just never really took to any of it.

But, as you mentioned, that USA v. Russia game was INTENSE! I was yelling for a good 10 minutes leading up to the shootout and then for another 20-30 minutes following it. I'm pleasantly surprised to see USA doing so well and would love to see us win the gold over Canada just so I can see Crosby cry his winy eyes out in the corner of the rink - This is probably just me wishfully thinking but, c'mon who doesn't love seeing 1) America win, and 2) Crosby lose.

(I really don't mind much of the Canadian team outside of Crosby. I respect the guy as an unbelievable player but I mean really guy needs to grow a pair.)

But, in all honesty, a lot of the other countries are giving us and Canada and Russia a run for our money. I mean, Canada winning by a margin of one goal over Latvia. Between that and the winter we're having right now in New York, I'd definitely say the end of the world is near.

If Canada doesn't win, I wonder if there will be another riot on one hand, on the other hand, there may be one in Russia if they don't win too. I was kindof mad at ESPN after the game because I was like, 'you didn't care about hockey until now :persuazn: !' I myself just learned to skate at all relatively recently. I mostly play goalie and have improved from when I started since I gave up an average of 15 points a game before and down to about 7 now. I'm not a hockey expert, so I was surprised at how many hockey fans didn't like him at first but it was then explained to me that he didn't care as much for the more subtle details of the game and that became more clear to me the more I saw. I'm a closet figure skating fan although the event with the gun is my favorite of the winter sports.

I must have been psychoanalyzing too long because I assumed by your tropicl avatar that you must be somewhere cold . I probably shouldn't rub it in that we're in shorts down here . Speaking of avatar, did you ever get around to that Korra series? I haven't had time for much non-sports television, but try to either tape shows or buy the series when the seasons end. I haven't got around to that one yet though.

I don't think I want to talk about Olympic hockey any more.

And I don't know exactly where the "down here" that you're referring to is, but I'd like to buy the next airplane ticket there. We've seen record snowfall this year in the Northeast!! Thankfully, this week it's brightened and warmed up a bit and some of the snow finally started melting and I saw grass for what feels like first time in years; just when I was starting to swear it was urban legend, too. However, they are calling for another "snow storm" some time this week. Let's just hope the weather people are playing a practical joke on us or all have their heads up their asses like they typically do. It's interesting, though, how you have one bad winter and 2-3 inches of snow goes from being a "storm" to "light flurries".

I always told my mom that moving from South Cali was a bad idea.

I haven't really bothered to get around to Korra yet either. I remember watching the first two episodes a couple of years ago when it premiered and then never gave it a second thought after that. A lot of my friends watch it and I keep telling them then I'll get around to it soon enough but what i really think I'll do is just wait for the entire thing to be on Netflix in another couple of years and make a weekend out of it. I know some people who swear that it's every bit as entertaining and compelling as ATLA and then I know other people who sear it's a crap load of fan service that could only be bought by the die hard Avatar heads who wouldn't know decent TV writing if it bit them in the ass. Granted, I watch my fair share of crappy, fluff-y, "guilty-pleasure" TV shows so I think I'll wait and make an opinion of my own.

Well, I consider 60 F to be short weather but if you were to go on vacation, Florida would more objectively be shorts weather probably. I've heard the same mixed reviews. Its also possible that some think ATLA was somewhat rushed in the end and are just glad to have anything. I guess I'll see in a power through weekend too. Its funny when I get too far behind and see spoilers on commercials or among people that don't even watch. I was watching Bones in order and one of my friends that doesn't even watch was like,'they say they got married. Its about time.' I of course heard it on the commercial at the time, but when commercials spoil that's when you know you're behind. Ah, guilty pleasure TV . I hate to admit, but after a long day when I just want something on in the background, I'm not always looking for the thought provoking. One show I watch in such times that I think actually kindof sucks is the American Being Human . I hear the original had worse looking good actors and that this version just replaced them with good looking bad ones. To tell the truth, I just fall asleep to it and don't even know what's going on half the time. Strangely enough I did see one of the new Marvel cartoons with a nephew and started watching it on my own . Well, the same thing happened a while ago with a cousin and Kim Possible come to think of it .

It was -5 F last week with the windchill and they're calling for a snowstorm with anywhere from 4-18 inches for us this week... I would gladly take 60 F any day and just run far, far away with it.

I'm actually nearly 6(?) or maybe even 7 episodes behind on Bones this season. Actually, it might be more. I watch it with my mother so unfortunately I have to watch until the free time in our schedules align to watch an episode and, admittedly, the writing isn't watch it used to be and I find myself getting less and less emotionally invested each time I watch it. I still love it of course and I'm totally happy to see them finally married after all these years and I really don't think I could give up on it after all these years, but, out of all the shows I watch (WHICH IS A LOT) Bones isn't really at the top of my list of things to stay up to date with. I'll get around to it eventually of course, though. Hopefully in time for next season to start.

I've heard a lot people talk about Being Human (US & UK) but sci-fi isn't really my type of television genre, outside of Doctor Who, which lately has been so... My "I don't really care, I just need something that makes me happy and makes me fall asleep" tv show is Say Yes to the Dress. It always makes me so happy because they always have women who overcome these really physically and emotionally burdening obstacles and they pick out these beautiful wedding dresses and look incredible on their wedding day and idk people make fun of me for it all the time but SYTTD makes me so happy and I could watch it for the rest of my life because it gives me so much hope for humanity

Speaking of cartoons, I've been thinking lately about the potential for a live action Teen Titans movie and how if some big production company won't make it, I will in my basement but aside from that, who would you say is in your Teen Titans dream cast? I have a few actors in mind, but I wanna hear your thoughts on the matter at hand too (and I will most certainly credit you when I make it into a movie, no worries)

There seems to be record cold in a lot of places, so I'm not surprised its so cold up there. I'm somewhat torn in that I like cold weather, but like growing things too and a lot of plants are becoming confused. I haven't seen that much of SYTTD, but it seemed like they were doing great things and what I saw was definitely way better than Bridezillas .

Even though I
for some reason like the way the narrator says Bridezillas
.

Teen Titans are quite dear to me as well, so I probably shouldn't just go off the cuff like I generally do. Some things come off the top of my head although I don't have an official group yet. The girl from True Grit and Chiaki Kuriyama seem to come to mind for Raven, but not sure since they won't technically be seen. That is, it will be more about the voice and attitude than really looking like the character. The same would go for Beast Boy technically since he's green. I could play Cyborg As to established celebrities, maybe an athlete but not sure which one. Robin may be another tough one. I don't know of Joseph Levitt has a teenage brother or not. Maybe Asa Butterfield (Mordred from Merlin)? Not sure on that one. Greyson Chance ? Maybe Molly Quinn has a younger sister to play Starfire. The teen part is what throws me somewhat. I really enjoyed the Trouble in Tokyo animated one as a side note.

^ I imagine a live action Teen Titans becoming something of an American TV show featured around "teenage" characters... Basically, all the actors/actresses themselves would be in their mid-late 20s and would hardly be passable as a teenager, but we ignore all that and let ourselves become victims to the idea of the thing without question just for the enjoyment of it. It's like watching Teen Wolf: Crystal Reed is almost 30 and Holland Roden is 27(?), both playing 17 year old characters. I could let it bother me, or I could just accept it for what it is and let one of the more serious offenses of the show annoy me. Tbch, I don't think I have any problem with that, assuming the producers/directors execute it successfully and don't let it get in the way of the story.

(Now would probably be a good time to mention that most issues I have with TV shows/movies stem from the fact that I'm not making them. I think I've already set the conceptual bar too high and any live action TT movie they make, if they ever make one, would never live up to my expectations unless, of course, I make it. )

And, trust me, you DON'T like cold weather. Nothing good ever comes out of cold weather. All the coats are really ugly and snow never looks like a Christmas card and my snowman never comes to life sings to me. It's just a very disappointing time of the year.

The only good part about cold weather is not having to shave because nobody is going to see my legs anyway and getting to use the bad weather as a laziness excuse when in all actuality I don't feel like going outside whether the weather is nice or not.

LOL @ the shaving . I like how cold air feels, but I don't love actual cold weather because I'm more of an outdoorsman. This year, the winter seems to have lasted longer than it has in a long time even in the South so its hard to imagine New York's plight. At least there's really good overpriced pizza

Oh yeah, I think the age thing was one of the jokes in the first Scary Movie (which should have been the last ). It seems like Disney Channel has high school kids playing high school kids but people in 20s and 30s get the roles most of the time. I never understood it much seeing as how many of them have the same acting skills. Sometimes I guess its to make any sensual type scenes less awkward.

You're better than me in that at least you want to make it yourself. I'm a big hater when it comes to movies made from things I like whether I have the answer or not. I do at least try my best to not rain on other people's parade (like with Game of Thrones) but with some things (like 'From Hell') I just can't help myself . To be honest, I've never been totally satisfied with an X-Men movie even though (minus Last Stand) I thought they were pretty good. Some things I avoid I only to avoid being a hater. I've never seen a single of the various Pride and Prejudice movies for this reason. Well, the initial reason was that I thought it was a chick flick, but later fell in love with the book.

I would have thought that it be easier for games to translate to movies but most of them are awful. This could be because a lot of aspects of games just don't translate well or that the right directors just haven't taken them on. I would imagine that 'Last of Us' or 'Bioshock' would translate well but looking at how bad Final Fantasy was, I could never be sure.
