Would you by any chance recommend this movie called Shaolin Soccer ? I like a lot of Chinese action comedies although no genre is fool proof of course. I had never heard of it but was curious if you had seen it.

I haven't seen it but I've heard it is okay. Not the best film out there, but not the worst either.

It's like Conservatives are trying to push us back into the Dark Ages. They claim the US was built on christian morals but that is not the case at all. The Founding Fathers never wanted any religion to be part of our government and that is why they put in Separation of Church and State in our Constitution! And if these morons ever picked up a book by any of those men, they would know that.

And the whole debate over birth control really fucking irritates me. One idiot has come out and said birth control should be banned because studies have shown that it can cause cancer in men. Well, when the hell did men start taking birth control pills!

Oh, and I really love the ones that say aspirin should replace the pill. I guess aspirin can prevent pregnancy too?

Aspirin? ASPIRIN?

I mean... I thought that the general basic education contains at least the difference between men and women - like, women are the one who can give birth to a child, that means they are the one who whould take birth control pills and not men that aspirin can make your headache go away but won´t protect you from getting pregnant that taking aspirin on daily basis isn´t healthy at all

I´m all for separation chirch from state - they still haven´t done that here

I think that these conservatives must have some serious issues with their psychic health. According to Freud, the "castration complex" is the most common unconscious reason of antisemitizm and sexism.... I think that no healthy inteligent man would say or claim such things

And I really love it when they compare women to cows and pigs!! Wonderful men we have here!

I really wonder about the women who actually support all this craziness.

Cop, I've spent my entire life living in Democratic or 'upper class/upper middle class' (RINO) moderate Republican areas and political activity has been rational and aligned with economic interests.

However, the 'Southern Strategy/bible belt' has always confused those of us on the coasts, as it seems like a massive sleight of hand that never ends. The sleight of hand being...to use social issues and a demented ideology as a way to deplete scarce political capital and political time that would probably be, otherwise, allocated to progressive agendas.

Another mystery for many of us is the 'Radical Right Wing/Christian middle class and poor' from Red States, as they continually support policies that do not favor their economic interests and social justice, while, at the same time, ignoring their own problems. All of these behaviors seems to come from a hopeful ideology rather than knowledge of the situation at hand. Their educational material seems to be centered around Fox News, conservative writers, and conservative think-tanks that produce an endless stream of 'useful idiot' creating propaganda.

For instance, I find this so amazing..that there will be so many Anti-Union working class (which is why labor intensive industries love to set up shop there). It's like an upside-down world there as far as labor relations go. You don't see this much on the coasts or in europe.

The only consistently rational major group nationwide seems to be poor, government/unionized employees, and ultra rich liberals. (LOL)

Unfortunately yes there are!!

And now some are wanting to pass laws where being a single mother is child abuse! It just keeps gettin' better! But at least all the crazies are helping Obama get re-elected

And the twins are doing great. They sleep most of the time so it's not bad. And my husband helps and so does his parents. And we have a nanny also. I have a lot of help with all the kids!

True. Poor Republicans makes absolutely no sense to me either.

But their attacks on women's rights is uncalled for. Comparing us to pigs and cows? Being a single mother is now child abuse? Aspirin should replace birth control? Reagan is their hero and I would put money on it he would be furious at the way Republicans are today. And I am no fan of Reagan either.

Instead of going after the real issues such as the economy, medicare, social security, education and poverty these idiots are attacking women. It's not going to get them elected so I see no point in any of this.

People are really capable of anything - if there are women who suport such crazy and insane ideas, I think they should get it. And only after the experience, we can start to talk... although some people are crazy enough to pretend that they actually enjoy the bad treatment... fools.

Do you want Obama to get re-elected? How do American people perceive him in general? Is he a good president, or a failure?

It´s great you have lot of help oh, I´m sure you have already chosen names?

Yes, it's the 'poor Republicans' that perplexes me. I see a lot of the Republican obstruction (usually involving social issues) as sort of a huge time-sucking distraction that is coherent with their small government everything-but-military and others strategy. (except they aren't really small government due to their significant industrial, police, energy, farm, and defense constituents) So the longer they obstruct, the weaker their political opponents get.

Rick Santorum, like Herman Cain before him, exited the Republican ticket yesterday. I don't think that a radical Christian conservative administration is electable in this country. These political amateurs that they're putting up seem to be mooching for future political influence rather than being serious contenders.

I find Romney acceptable based on his Resume'/constituents but not on his unclear 'political weather vane' tendencies- in fact I favored him more than Obama or McCain during 08'. Romney the Rino will probably carry the Republican ticket, but Red state Republicans don't like him at all because he is just a socially liberal, right-leaning moderate (basically, he's like Clinton to me) with some of the same support bases as Obama. His selection for VP is still pending, and would probably make him more unattractive to me.

Outside of RINOS, I think that the Republicans are a fraud.

People are really capable of anything - if there are women who suport such crazy and insane ideas, I think they should get it. And only after the experience, we can start to talk... although some people are crazy enough to pretend that they actually enjoy the bad treatment... fools.

I think the radical right wing is just a fringe. It makes a lot of noise, and then disappears. Americans are mostly moderates are far as politics go.

Oh, and Jennka, I know you're asking Cop this, but Obama's continuation of Bush's TARP (Troubled Asset Relief Program) helped save the New York area. The City economy and tri-state area needed this a great deal. While it seemed like 'stealing', it showed that Obama Administration was, for a time, on Wall Street and New York's side. Our job losses during the great recession, as a % basis, was only a small fraction of what Americans outside the tri-state area experienced!

But outside of NY, it is hated by most people outside of the New York Area. It wasn't good for the nation or federal government as a whole.

I believe that Wall St. Money and corporate money has shifted more towards Romney now, but it's still too early to see who the city backs.

The Obama administration has been good to his main constituents like alternate energy/venture capital, Government unions and government employees, but overall it has been clearly bad for the taxpayer. Everywhere else the opinions vary as people vote with their pocketbooks. His approval ratings have been a bit below average.

I was using the search function to see if you could see how many times a word has been used and it doesn't give you the number and also includes the times said word was quoted. That said, I gave up on that, but on doing a test of this thread, did you know that "Lima" is the word you've used the most in a post ? It came up even more than the term "supers" did .

Last I heard Obama was ahead. Of course more conservative TV stations will say Romney is ahead. Romney flip flops so much I don't see how people can stand him. And his wife is such a fraud. I can't stand her either.

Not a surprise Joe considering how many arguments I've been in with her fans!

I would have thought stupid or idiot would have been used more
