Can I add something to this 'meeting models experience' thread? I once saw Asia Pulco. She's not a very popular model, but she walked a few major shows (Gucci, Dior). I saw her once, and.... at first, I was like: wait wait, where do I know her from? Then I remembered her name but even if I wanted to say something to her she was already gone but she looked breathtakingly beautiful in person. I also passed by Karolina Malinowska once but she looked pretty ordinary

Well, my Eagles had an atrocious 2010 season - finished bottom of the ladder - which was a first for us. Then this year we finished top 4 with a genuine shot at winning the premiership. Wasn't quite the fairytale finish in the end, but still, I don't think anyone saw that turnaround coming. Also, pretty much the only highlight from that 2010 season was when Mark LeCras kicked 12 goals in a game, which is something that hadn't happened for a great many years. Big dominant displays like that just don't really happen in the modern game anymore, since the changes in speed and structures don't really accommodate for it.

Caroline is a friend of a friend (who was a model herself, and now runs her own art business). They've hanged out occasionally. My friend attends a lot of art galas & gatherings.

^This did happen to me! I also met your Elle Macpherson once (very tall and glamourous), but the time I was dumbstruck was meeting Helena Christensen at a photography exhibition in London (it was for Paul MacCartney - at that time with peculiarly purple hair and the pirate wife, didn't meet him though, he just swanned by...). Suddenly finding myself alongside the goddess Helena and looking at the same picture all I could do was blush furiously and then sweat! What was I going to say anyway: "When I was a teenager I wanted to screw you so much!"? She said something about the picture (even now I can't remember what it was) and I stammered an affirmation of some kind or other - and then she moved on and I could breathe again...

It didn't really reduce the scoring so much as increase the spread of goalkickers. Not just the speed of course, but because of field structures and strategies too. Nowadays there tend to be 2 or 3 major forwards targets, as well as a bunch of midfielders to spread the load. In years gone past it was much more structured around one big guy that did all the damage - those guys would be getting big bags of goals week in week out.

And Australian Models, yes.. Pania, Nicole and Sarah are all equally divine

Then there's a bunch others that I really like too - Catherine McNeil, Shanina Shaik and Aurelia Gliwski spring to mind.

And others that I'm nonplussed about. I used to quite like Miranda. She became boring a long time ago though. I've never really 'got' Gemma Ward, but I feel like I'm missing out on something there
