Yeah I love Danger Girl - the attitude and tongue-in-cheek nature suits his style magnificentlyDonny, I remember that this came up before but what do you think of Campbell's 'Danger Girl?' Jennka liked it a lot when I posted about it a while ago, and personally I think it's his very best.

I.. I...

Dat body!

Evening Don, I trust all's well? ![]()
Did you hear, the trailer for that Robocop remake finally landed. Initial thoughts are 'they shouldn't do it, but if they are doing it, then it probably could have been a lot worse.' ![]()
^+1. Actually looks pretty decent ![]()
Pretty happy with the cast too!

^It kind of reminds me a bit of the recent Dredd remake (which I thought was borderline not-too-bad) but on a much, much bigger scale. Never know, it could end up being something of a pleasant surprise.
^Yeah it made me think of Dredd too. I actually quite liked that - I'd rate it higher than borderline not-too-bad ![]()

I too much associate Robocop with Verhoeven to really imagine myself liking this.
And yes, I know Verhoeven only did the first of the three original features. ![]()
^It's the only one that matters
Although the second one had that bit where those guys captured and disassembled him.. that scene really stuck with me for some reason ![]()
I know what you mean though, he certainly leaves a distinct mark on his films. I can't imagine it resonating as much as the original did with me, but I'm keeping an open mind about it. I certainly have a better feeling about it than Total Recall <_<
Does anyone remember this avatar from a few years ago? Perhaps my finest moment ![]()

^Remember it well. Any chance of an encore? ![]()

Given Dredd's rich and futuristic source material, I'd expected something a little bigger in scale, but I thought it was as good as it could have been considering its budget constraints, and certainly a step in the right direction, with Urban banishing all memory of the horrid Stallone version. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel, but widened to encompass the whole cityspace (which was probably the one thing that the '95 take got right). ![]()
Have you managed to catch the Partridge movie yet, Don? I was away during the opening week, and due to the apparent 'blink and you'll miss it' nature of its release in my neck of the woods, I fear I may have missed my chance. ![]()

There is one scene I like in the second one, and it's the one where we see the clip of the Mark 2 and Mark 3 and their unfortunate fates.
This is only half of the scene, there is a second prototype who kills himself by pulling off his facemask and revealing the "brain in a jar" underneath.

Donny, where did you get your marloes avatar? she looks gorgeous!

The Partridge movie doesn't hit my screens until the end of October some time <_<
Hopefully, I'll still get a chance to check it out. The reviews have almost all been good so far, and apparently Alan is better dressed, better looking, even somewhat likeable. I’m not sure how I feel about that, I’ve always loved him at his most cringeworthy. ![]()

Are you talking about Alpha Papa?

^Yes indeed. Have you seen it, SS? ![]()

Not yet but it seems to be getting good reviews.
