Irina has been on the cover and she didn't fit the blonde and big stereotype. She is exotic looking, she's a WAG (like many recent SI Covergirls), and that appeals to men.
I like Anne but she's career so far with SI and VS has been bridemaid's like. She's good enough to work for them but she's can't be a covergirl or an Angel for some reason.
Seriously? Everything about Irina screams sex, which is why she almost always gets the same kid of jobs: sex kitten. The only country where she books major jobs it's Spain and it's because as you said it she is a WAG
I don't think Anne is interested in being a VS Angel at all, it limits your career a lot and some girls prefer to do other things other than sell underwear for 10 years. Anne has walked every major runway show, she's done campaigns for every big brand, she has worked with the two biggest clients in the US (SI & VS), worked with every important photographer ... She managed to succeed in both worlds and these days there just a few models who managed to do it

IF im not wrong... Hannah D. is the rookie of the year. i mean they put a very small pic of her saying the dreamy rookie so... Sad though Emily D looks SO much better

Honestly both of them has some pretty nice shots (imo), and a couple that aren't that great. I understand why SI would put Hanna as the rookie this year even if she isn't.

Only 2 women in history have had 3 covers in a row and most people don't consider Kate as one of them, she's officially had 2, the little insert isn't considered an actual cover.
I know that, I just wondered if anyone had ever had three real covers in a row.

If you think her tweets are bad, her interviews on the red carpet of music events are worse. She is always so rude and snotty. Sorry, but just b/c you are engaged to a "Legend" doesn't make you one. In fact she will never be one!
