Anne NEEDS to get more popular with mainstream media...

Just think of the cover as the crown at homecoming. You can be pretty, but if you're not popular you wont get the votes to get the crown.

Everyone wants to be queen, but only one girl can reign.

Everything can be related back to high-school, that's slightly nauseating because it is NOT the best time of our lives.

The only thing I miss about high-school is not having bills, having everything paid for by my parents and the way my ass looked.. It's still good, but not THAT good.

So, not to be a buzzkill, but it's doubtful that they'll give her any mainstream credibility, but I could be wrong.

BTW i saw Kate on a re-run of E! News last night and she mentioned that people keeps asking her to do the Gangnam Style ... Please God let the people from SI be smart enough to have a video of that

& yes i don't know about Lullaby but Anne is not in the trailers for Die Hard so unless she has one extremely good -and by good i mean she looks extremely hot- scene i don't think it will do much for her =/

Anne should've gotten a popularity boost when she was dating Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. She walked for VS the same year Maroon 5 did the show. It's all how to market yourself to the general public.

by pheno's logic, i think heidi klum would've had 10 consecutive covers. was elsa or yamilla or carolyn or irina more popular than heidi klum in any given year?

this "she's popular, she'll sell, SI is a business" trope tends to ignore the fact that kate became popular because...she was on the cover.

if someone else had a picture that deserved the cover, then by the time march rolls around, they'd be more popular than kate. that's how turnover works. without it, you get into a rut where you keep putting the same girl on the cover and having the same models return year after year after year.

^ Not necessarily, back in the 90's when Heidi was hot people used to care about all models in general. Now people gives a shit about them and loves the Kardashians, big difference & still several models repeated cover back in the day because they sold more and even Beyoncé got a cover in 2007 because they didn't have a model famous enough to sell more magazines

I showed hubby the leaked cover, and he said, "yep looks a lot better than last year's cover." He thought that Kate looked one dimensional from the pose in the bikini.

For the record, he would be considered the perfect demographic for SI if he liked beer and sports.

He does, however, likes boobs. And anything that shows them off well. (Like no shirt.)
