I watched Half Nelson and I was rooting for Ryan too, he did a good job but I love Peter. 
And I read today that the Queen of England invited Helen to drink a tea with her, that's so cool.

I just saw the movie today, it wasn't as good as I expected it to be, but Helen Mirren was amazing, no doubt about that!
I glad that Forest Whitaker won for "Last King of Scotland". He is one of the greatest and underrated actors OF ALL TIME!!!

I haven't seen every film nominated, but here's how I expect it will go: Daniel Day-Lewis for Best Actor, Cate Blanchett -- Angeline Jolie wasn't nominated for "A Mighty Heart"? Ouch! That's a snub! -- for Best Actress; I'd say No Country for Old Men for Best Picture, but since it didn't get the Best Directing nod, I'll give it to Atonement, considering it won Best Drama at the Globes. <_<
Javier Bardem is definitely going to win the Best Supporting Actor award for No Country.
Directors are overrated, but I'll give it to La Vie En Rose just because foreign films have to be amazing to get big nominations at the Oscars, and the Academy might just want to give the film something. Not to mention, the directing category is so skewed from the best picture category that you couldn't call it an upset.

I think John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress respectively for their performances in Hairspray!!
And it is actually ridiculous that Hairspray was nominated in the Best Song category!!

I wish all Nominees the best and I hope that the ceremony is a memorable one!
I have a problem because every year the ceremony would be broadcasted by public television channel TVP1 (Polish Television 1). This year, however, the only company who has the rights to live broadcast is a paid commercial channel Canal+ (transmitted via sattelite). Now, the only way I can watch the show is the Internet. I have downloaded 3 programs that enable streaming broadcast (SopCast, TVU-Channel and CoolStreaming). Live broadcast will be available on ABC and Sky Movies, I hope I'll be able to connect to either of those. I have no guarantee, though
Anybody with the same problem?
