So Golden Globes last night. Any suprises? any snubs? What did you all think?

Model wise, Miranda stole the spotlight for me

^^ Yay for 3 of them,especially Jessica but also except her bag and make up.

I made many comments in various GG attendees threads,but all were on style only,as I don't care a bit about movies,except only I was happy for Django to have award in supporting actor category ,though I was surprised as I think it was Samuel nominated instead of Waltz,did I miss something?also I was happy for Jodie Foster's honorary Prize.

Here's what I cared for,the fashion on it,I made 3 lists,favs,worst,confusing ones.

My best dressed favs,in addition to the 4 ones above,

Heidi,stunning dress,but the make up not that good

Halle,love the dress though I prefer basic colors for such events but it's good

Amy Adams,the color is so pale but I love the look

2-looks of cofusion,can't decide good or bad

Jennifer Lawrence,though some sites put her in best dressed list,but for me I don't like the gold belted part

Rosario Dawson,The top of the dress isn't perfect,the rest is good

Not her best look,though the dress looks flattering on her

Kate Hudson,not good not bad

Jodie Foster ,Jodie herself looks so beautiful .

Taylor,the dress is nice but its color and her make up don't appeal to me

Kerry Washington,if the dress is knee length one,then it would be my favourite

And my worst dressed list[i prefer to not much comment as really I'm upset especially when it comes to Barbara P ,they really ruined her beauty]

Lopez,I feel it's repetitive to ones before

As did I, I was a little disapointed with barbaras look. Hair and makeup was nice, dress fit wasn't the best though

Mahi: Under your #2 confused list, I really liked Kerry Washington look. I like the whole "dress keeps going" sheeth look. Jennifer Lawrence I agree on though, I couldn't tell weather I liked it or I hated it. Some angles I really loved it and the color, others I think the dress is poorley fitted and hung to low on her boobs.

I couldn't like it more,it's so poor looking from under knees.

Good you agree about Lawrence,thought I'm the only one who didn't love it alot.

Jennka: I was a little off In the grand scheme of movie making though, its very, very cheap!

I actually love kerrys dress bellow the knee. I thought the whole look was great, including her hair and makeup!

Jennka and ILUVBARBARAPALVIN: Agreed about miranda she looked fabulous...That reddish burgundy color is definitely her color

Re: the 'Official VS' thread - oh katchitup, I don't know why you bother?! You should know by now that it's of paramount importance for some members that their favourite be everybody's favourite and that opinion be seen as fact.

I really don't understand this need, but it's quite endemic here lately, maybe twas ever thus? Doesn't matter how much you argue the point either, they'll always see it as an attack on their favourite for some reason, rather than the silly reasoning behind it...

^It's gone beyond tiresome now. You might as well call the thread: 'My Favourite Model Is Or Should Be The Star Of VS And I'm Going To Shout The Loudest In The Hope That Others Will Agree With Me (And If They Don't They're Wrong)' which, I appreciate, is a cumbersome and lengthy title but does fully convey the attitude of a great many members... <_<

Like I said, it's redundant to argue with them as they will not understand the argument - only the argument they want to hear (which will be that of an attack on their favourite).

It really is a lost cause....I've come to terms theres no convincing to some. No matter how reasonable and right we are, they will find something. And the argument is really ridiculous....Karlie is unhealthy because she's thin...for real? Its like they've never seen a model before

Yes, I started in little league in fact :morning: . I do love it even thought they're ruining the game with all the quarterback rules . As to the thread thing, I've since consoled myself with the fact that there are worse things . Unless I've missed the worst of it, I'm not sure its one of the all time worst yet. For example, when (trying to console myself for having to look through them ) I looked up the word goddess I was creeped out to see that the word was used in the Bar thread and Adriana General Discussion the exact same number of times . Both were used 17 times (including quotes, but still). To make matters worse, it was used in the Candice thread an amazing 60 times :shock: ...I used to wish models I like who only had 2 pages would get more recognition, but now I'm not so sure .

Joe: See I Get being a fan, and wanting to gush. I do it all the time....but not to that extent. That constant "shes so beautiful, nobody beats her, she is amazing, this model sucks, doesn't compare, blablahblah" stuff I've never been able to get. I mean I'm all for discussions, but alot of these comparisons are pointless, and seems to me come from the poster feeling perhaps a little insecure? Like they feel threatened that this model might be better than their fav or something, so therefore they feel the need to constantly bring the model up so they can bring her down and make their fav look better
