Witcher season 3 came out

Watched the first two episodes of the new Witcher season.
I can't say I'm hugely impressed so far.
Also, did they change a lot in the costuming department? A lot of the stuff is looking way too modern for a medieval era style fantasy show.

Is it bad?
I will watch it when I have time.

It's almost 8 years and I still haven't seen everything in W3 yet, my heart has given up on the show :

It's not terrible. Just feels incredibly slow somehow. Also, it's clear that Henry Cavill was no longer enjoying the show.
I do think Anya Chalotra is now finally 100% comfortable playing Yen, so there is that.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge gets to do a Tomb Raider series for Amazon.
I hope she doesn't make it very ironic/tongue-in-cheek. It can be funny of course, there always have been elements of humor in the franchise. But she needs to take the serious stuff seriously.
Of course more than perhaps the writing this is something that will stand or fall with the casting. I don't they have ever gotten it right. I didn't like Jolie at the time in that role. Nor did I think Alicia Vikander was right either. I think my favorite interpretation so far - in terms of voice work anyway - was Camilla Luddington.
And at one time at least, she would have been a good option for alive action version. But she turns 40 this December and thus probably too old.

All of the options in this piece are horrendous!
I like most of those actresses, some of them a lot, but all of them are totally wrong for Lara Croft.

They need to find someone who fits the role, not just the biggest name they can attach to the project. I'd rather get a British actress I have never even heard of but who fits the role both in terms of how she looks and what she sounds like than a big star.

TBH Phoebe looks too masculine & hipster ish to be Lara Croft..
A younger Kate Beckinsale would have worked imho
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is unattractive (not just on the outside, also on the inside). She's a bad actress that contributed to the destruction of Indy.
She's run-of-the-mill at best, and, in any case, an obnoxious feminist. She's the opposite of Lara Croft.
Lara is caring, courageous, empathetic and humble. She's the opposite of a toxic feminist. And Lara is sexy, because she's calm inside (whereas feminists tend to be uglified by life).
Lara is another victim of the toxic feminism culture in Hollywood.
Of course, the ugly feminists in their studio couldn't choose a beautiful woman. Vanessa Demouy would've made a great Lara Croft.
^ I'm sure there are exceptions, but most of the feminists I know are full of hatred
Besides, I don't understand the concept of feminism in Europe in 2023. Everybody has the same rights in our countries, what is there to fight for, except chimeras? IMO, feminism is what has made many European women less attractive. Traditional women are more caring, empathetic and beautiful.
I stopped dating women who claim to be feminists. I had too much problems with them in the past (unreasonable, moody, etc.)
Oh and there's this as well:

Young Jennefer Garner too, if she could do a good British accent

You are right, these guys aren't valuable and probably very immature. They're the male equivalent of modern feminists.

It turns out that "Cocaine Bear" was directed by Elizabeth Banks lol.

I remember when she was an A-lister and then suddenly her career derailed.

This is really cool, fan made. I think this is the closest we'll get to seeing what a live action W3 would look like.
